Also. To stop root clog.... with or without mesh metal screen? I feel like mesh metal is overkill

I would skip the mesh to much risk of clogging unless you can check them regularly. I scrog so I cant

Well, haven't flooded the place out yet. Going to need a valve on my in line. I'm filling faster than I'm draining. Fill line is 3/4, drain line is 1in. Getting there though.

Need min 1.5" return down to 5/8 and your golden bro.

Pump right before res pulling water back not pushing water through

Absolutely...1-1/2 is smallest return line..that's 2 return lines not just one..and pump into res.not plant totes..I use 3/4 pump return line.less restrictions on pump the better..oh I'm using 350 gph.circulating pumps.only pic I have of pump placement..

Well. Made a few minor adjustments. But I'm happy with the way it's running. Excited to get my other lights in here once the 3x3 tent is done. I also decided to run a line to my drain in the basement. Emptying everything for rez changes will be a breeze now. Few more things to complete. Still need to hook up my venting and get my electric stuff squared away and build a scrog screen...
Anyhow. Prolly start a grow here soon. Thanks for the tips and opinions!

About to have my screen set up.
About two weeks left on my plants I have currently running. Then I'll get this setup up and running.

Well.. Here we go.. French cookies, Maui waui, and sativa dreams all up and running. Sativa dreams is solo in the 5 gallon. The other 2 are in the rdwc system. I'll hang another light light once they get bigger but each plant has their own light as of right now. Ph 5.8. Ppm 180. Temps, 78, res temp 66. Running cyco nutes..
32 gallon garbage can set for res changes. Easy empty, easy fill. Turn around time on the change is 4min. Wish me luck. My headband started throwing nanners so it was chopped early. My widow needed another week but my seeds pushed out the bottom of their cubes si I decided to chop. Still turned out alright though
