Here's what I think, in a short version...
Over the last x amount of recent years there has been a tremendous spike in indoor growers. Thousands and thousands of newbies all over the world, super excited to get the most popular strains ever heard of.
Then you have breeders and retail seed vendors wanting to capitalize on these new guys.
So let's take a look at a few things... new growers want what?
Massive yields and the fastest growing strain ever
SO!!!! Feminized seeds at 20 dollars a bean and the new guys LOVED them, they still do. Autoflowers, s1 genetics, chemical reversing ect...
Also, more and more "breeders" poped up.... they run 10 seeds, pick a male and female and make seeds, then spray them with chemicals and all the new guy needs to hear is the famous names behind the seeds, no need to question methods, legitimacy, was proper selection done, proper plant counts to get the best possible parents ect ect.... breeding females with females, reversals, cross this with that and that with this and s1 this and s1 that.... eventually we got this big muddy swamp of a gene pool and every strain is the fucking same bullshit....plus there overpriced...
So now, all the new growers have a few years under there belt, there getting tired of all the fake marketing bull shit shoved down there throats by high times and all affiliated marketers.
Now they are slowly looking into something more pure, something original, untouched, or atleast genetics that derived from great genetics, pure. More and more are experiencing with reg seeds now which breeders couldn't give them away past few years. Now they want to make there own seed stash. More growers are looking at organic growing, TLO.
So it is my belief that fem seeds, autoflowers, s1 genetics and all the like will slowly take a back seat over the next few years while growers get back to the basics. Back to were the dank truely is, there gonna more and more wanna grow out a whole population to find that special keeper to have for there selves.
When this happens indi, there gonna go with the fire genetics, which you have bro, there gonna go with the reasonable priced breeder, which you are.
My opinion is stick to what you do, don't change what ain't broke, look at sannie, I bet he could Def get away with the $150-$200 prices, but he dont. He has morals and respect for the canna community, enough so that is takes the time with selection to provide some of the best stable genetics at the cheapest prices around. It's respect, and the real growers know what's what.
It will take time, in the long run you will be at the finish line with your hand raised while all the bull shit clown breeders fell off long ago. They are getting there 15 mins in, but they won't finish the race.
