Six do you use leds in veg also?
One of these days I will have to get educated on the leds. Looks like a lot to learn. Not like I won't have time in the near futcher lol. Looks like a good winter project for me.

I grow seed to harvest under the same setup, which is 4x CXB3070 @ 65Watts each, 3000K and 50W of 2 obnoxious bridgelux 2700K. Rapid growth from the very start to tight fat bud on the finish. Also no crazy stretch.

It's a seed run and girls got a bit bitchy, but you'll get the idea.

Active cooled light setup and exhaust out of tent throug the scrubber. One 2' oscillating tower fan and that's it. No AC. 315W light and 375W out of the wall for the whole setup.

Six I noticed in some of your earlier post you run some of your COBs at different amperages
is there an increase in yield when running at 2100 mA verses 1400mA?

Soo... do you guys run IR and UV alongside the cobs or just the cobs?
I do not, I currently only use the COBs... I started looking into far-red as an initiator and to help with emerson effect: The combination of Red and Far Red (670nm and 700nm) creates an effect where the photosynthesis is doubled.

Before I start messing with light spectrums, I need to lock down my environmental issues };-)

I dont have any setups running that hot that im aware of haha.i do have some running at 1750ma which is like 62w per cob but most of my setups are 1050ma or 35w per cob and i like those the best because i feel like they are saving the most money lol.
The thing is i used tighter spacing on those and wider spacing on the high power setups so its pretty much a wash as far as plant response/growth.cree run best between 30 and 60w.go with vero for wattage above 75w per cob.

I run a few uv and 660nm floro tubes above one area but i cant say for sure those plants are any better than the rest.eye hort powerveg fs+uv and the powerveg 660nm for 4 hours per day

UV and IR LEDs are still obnoxious efficacy wise. You'd be better off having a heating element mounted above your plants, especially regarding the IR part.

The thing about UV light isn't about producing more resin, it only increases resin production to up to 5% which is negligible for the power used. It's about plant producing THC-V.

If I had a little money burning a hole in my pocket, I would enhance my lights by adding some 4K COBs and some far-red initiators. The 3000 K, far-red, and 4000K cobs would be on different timers so I could play with the lighting schedule.

I don't think I'd add any IR or UV

Thanks for the reply Six the light just went on I get it now. I have been all over the place trying to figure out the best set up for my small space now I have a different plan. With the Vero's I can run them at a higher wattage to compensate for fewer cob's. Damn it means more money time to start saving up for different drivers. One of the things I considered for the current drivers is maxing out the voltage to be more efficient. I want to be in the 95% range now my thoughts are to bump up the current to 2100mA to increase the wattage to
924W. Time to do some design work now.
