Thats a lot of work right there! My goal was to try and get a grow where it’s very simple, plain RO water, and some LST/defoliation and that is it. I topped two on the right, the breeder says he doesn’t top these and they will stack up tight like a christmas tree. I may leave the left side alone, I’m not sure how that will workout. Last night I thinned them out a lot, then sprayed them with Fermented peach. This morning they looked happy but there’s some/an issue I see.

I do not think you have an issue, what you have are leaves that are just now getting light LoL!

Look at the 1st of the 3 pics you just posted. The leaf with the curled finger is not a problem, it is what a leaf looks like when it has no room spread and grow and is in the shade. Look at the leaf set above that see how it has the same "bend" from growing into something else?

Looking at that same picture you really see the signs of light stress, notice the textured look of the leaves at the top of the picture. They should be smooth and not bulging. See how smooth looking the leaf with the bend you thought was a problem is? That smooth texture is how all your leaves should look. Not the bend but the texture.

Also notice the picture @Loudtreefarms posted, you can not even see his light fixture in the picture. Probably a good 3 1/2 to 4 feet away from the plants if not more.

I moved them away from the light last night and dimmed them down lower like (30%). Tonight I’ll move lights higher and turn them up a little. Thank you for the advice guys!

Sweet, you have programmable dimming feature. Curious what benefits you notice doing the rise/set thing.

Yea I can dim from 0-100% which is super important with these new powerful led lights. I am able to keep my environment spot on all the time. As far as the sunrise sunset I think it just makes them super happy. Easing on the light power so it’s not a super shock. It allows me to foliar spray in these times just like outside. I feel like the plants are just extremely acclimated to the climate and do not have much stress from environment. I’ll keep updating my journal of this coco grow to see what we can really pump out of these led and use them to their fullest potential.

I’m 720 watts a piece and (2.7umul/j)

All connected with 240v to breaker panel

All connected to a master controller and dimmer

I ordered 7 of them but after install I only needed 3 in the indoor and installed 3 in my light dep

I’m at 50% on day 43 ish veg and these lights have some serious power. Super excited to see how this run turns out. They improved my light dep greenhouses by 10X compared to my 8 bar T5’s I have ran for years.

I consulted with Timber about my 4’x4’ tent and they told me that something like the five Daisies I got were about the most I could get away with without needing C02. I just downloaded a phone light meter and quickly stuck it under lights and I’m seemingly way low right now but this is close to 50% maybe slightly under and 3’ away. Timber said all of their ratings are 24” or 18”, that sounded fairly typical for the industry. I like these but evidently I’ve been running them way too close and high if my plants have visible light stress.

My lights are more than likely way more powerful than your timer cobs. I am also running a 1.2 vpd constant. i am light over 3000 watts in my room. And I apologize I am running a co2 burner and steady at 1270 on the co2 and rising going into flower. Not running co2 you will have to put your room on more of a cruise control rather then hauling ass down the freeway. Maybe your genetics don’t like a lot of light? Maby the environment isn’t sufficient with the lights so close? I think what is happening is, you have too much light intensity for the amount of nutrient and proper environment conditions. With your set up a lower light intensity would work better.
Now install co2 burner , lock down vpd, bang out solid nutrient regiments then we’ll ya u can run and gun the lights. Small adjustments and see what happens works for me. Check out BAS grow environment .

I think since I crowded these boxes with two plants each, I need to flip sooner than later. There’s already signs of competition and I don’t even know which are boys or girls. Thinking about trying to clone a couple but never had great success, always grown from seed or purchased clone. What is the best system/brand/methods? Anyone?

I just looked at those earth boxes online. They don’t look like they have adequate drainage to me. That been an issue for you OP?

There is ZERO DRAINAGE. It’s like hydro, plant sends roots into water and drinks whenever it wants. If it needs food, it has roots in the soil to uptake food. It’s pretty impressive as far as rate of growth goes. It’s also super low maintenance. Since I have the plastic mulch cover over the soil, the chances of fungus gnats or other pests starting a life down there are much less likely. Watering is simple, they even have auto systems if you want to spend the money but with two, I add water by hand. The next time I grow in these I will do one plant per. Jeremy from Buildasoil has YouTube videos and his IG right now has day 56 of flower where he’s got several earth boxes blowing up in a big tent with different types of growing mediums and sizes.

Sub irrigated planter supposed to mimic real life where plants will find underwater sources of water and tap root into them and not rely on water from above always/ever in this case.
