This year may actually work out.
I have a medical strain which had no name but in our new home I have been able to grow these F2s out properly.
The genetics are Male Haze the breeder said he didn't like. Indeed it was the very opposite of couch lock. I felt the need to go to the park and walk laps which I did while I had the bud from that Haze. Next was the mother. Circa 2008, Greenhouse's "The Doctor" who has the genetics of Great White Shark, South Indian, Super Skunk.

So, Medically I am Bi-Polar and Neural Divergent. I work with computer programming and specifically with discrete dynamical systems. I benefit from a very up-creative medicine. This strain has been very good for imagining things in dynamical constructs. So I'm happy!
This post is a feeler to see if any folks may benefit from these genetics. In exchange I would ask for a grow thread on this site and a review of the strain.

If there is interest I am considering releasing feminized F2 ( not selfed ) to folks that want creative headspace, for them to evaluate and report.

The name that works is Skunky Fruit. It starts out as smelling like Jucy Fruit gum and a strong lemon of 7-Up soda with a hint of skunk but as the flowering advances and the bud matures, Skunk becomes strong and the bud is, well, very Skunky Fruit.

As long as seeds are legal it is on the person who has them to obey the laws that apply to them.

To recap: This is an up headspace strain, especially when harvested clear rather then cloudy.

Hey here is a ChatGPT generated logo. I loved this one.

Oh Man...

Friends I am just a humble grower here with limited time to do things and this seed grow is a bust.

I have to wrap things up for the year.

I'll try to get a seed run in the future. Perhaps at the end of the Summer but for now it just isn't going to happen.

Bummer. If I can I will post in this thread.

I plan on a Veteran owned small seed business so I shall report on my first strain.
This is a wonderful Medical strain. If we manage dosage this can be a daily. It sure elevates mood.
I was cleaning the kitchen and doing Handyman stuff around the house and was happy to do it all, Nice if one has depression from Bi-Polar. Nonetheless it is a clear mindspace.

My initial review
The Beginning:

I am an Avid Organic soil advocate and I grow the “Long Veg” in large pots mostly. I am a Veteran in the State of Illinois and a medical card holder. I would love a small business where I maintain the strains I have and share seed. I am working on that dream.

Skunky Fruit F2 2025 Grow, Lineage and Preliminary Smoke Report.

Granddaddy Power-Walker is of unknown lineage to me. He was gifted to me at a Cannabis Cup. I can only describe my experience with Granddaddy.

“I named it “Power Walker.” That is because the effect I experienced was to want to go out and do laps in the park for a long time. Which I did several times.”

Grandma is the classic Green House’s “The Doctor” from the first release and not the remake. She was not the Mango Dominate Phenotype and yet I sure can tell that Mango is in there a little. I seeded my girl so I didn’t smoke her except for some shake later. So limited memory on that.

Then came the F1s. My garden then was a very humble construct. Nothing like the equipment we have today.

In my humble construct it was small batches and harvested early but the benefit to me was the way up. Sadly then came the day I could not grow where I lived anymore.

Fast forward a decade and the priority I had made ten years prior of making a lot of seeds paid off with some F1s germinating fast and strong.

Note: “I recommend Glass canning jars and reasonable conditions for long term storage. I call it a miracle.

Now these are the F2s’ and I was able to grow these out to 11 weeks under my watchful attention to the changing weathers influences.

I did 11 weeks to see the full maturity and from that I can document from observations that we noticed more as the flower matured the evolving terpenes and the general bouquet over time. She’s unique.

The plant has an initial scent, starting in Veg, of what I can relate to you as “Juicy Fruit chewing gum” and the strong scent of a freshly opened can of the “soda 7-UP” with a minor note of Skunk. As the plant matures more it shifts towards the Skunk scent. Then as it gets to 11 weeks it mellows into what we smell and taste in our bowls. Currently my samples are limited to quick dry and short cure status. I expect to have an update in time.

Flavor Profile:
Initial hit:
Fruity
Aftertaste: Fruity and lingering

Requires Support in Flower:

Harvest Window:
This strain expresses different effects based on the timing of harvest. A typical flowering period ranges from 8 to 11 weeks, and the gardener's intent will guide the outcome.

  • At 8 weeks, the effect is notably uplifting and active, offering a long-lasting, steady experience in a clear, focused headspace.
  • Toward 11 weeks, the same long-lasting qualities remain, but the narcotic body effect becomes more pronounced, aligning more closely with the reported effects of strains like The Doctor.
We propose a harvest scale:
8–11 Weeks, ranging from "Up & Active" to "Deep & Relaxing."
The choice is yours—harvest for clarity, or wait for depth.

🌱 Strain Lineage & Description

🧬 The Beginning

Granddaddy — Unknown lineage
> Gifted at a Cannabis Cup. This plant was named “Power Walker” due to its uniquely energizing effect—it inspired actual laps around the park. Several times. Clear-headed and physically activating.

Grandma — Green House Seeds' “The Doctor”
> From the original release, not the remake. Known for its deeply relaxing, narcotic body effects.
Leafy.com has this to say: “Heavy sedating effects act fast, leaving you feeling pacified and calm. Earthy flavors soured by skunky, fruity notes arrive on the inhale, making their exit with the taste of hashy spice. Great White Shark, Super Skunk, and an unnamed South Indian parent lend The Doctor its genetic blueprint.”

Genetic Notes

Great White Shark: Described on Leafly as having a bold, fruity aroma with undertones of skunk.

• South Indian: A landrace strain. Believed to contribute the rich hues of red and brown as the fan leaves die off during late flowering. Other properties remain closely held by Green House Seeds.

• Super Skunk: An indica-dominant strain created by crossing Skunk #1 with Afghani. No specific Afghani strain is identified.

🌿 F1 Generation

Created in a humble home grow setup with early harvests. After a long break, a stash of these F1 seeds—carefully stored in glass canning jars—were germinated a decade later.

💡 Storage Tip: Canning jars + stable temps = long-term seed preservation miracle.

🌸 F2 Generation (Current Selection) And now aptly named “Skunky Fruit.”

Now grown out fully to 11 weeks so the plant’s complete profile could be truly observed:

• Scent at early flower: Juicy Fruit gum + freshly opened 7-UP, with light Skunk notes

• As it matures: The Skunk deepens and rounds out

• At full maturity (11 weeks): The aroma mellows into the final bouquet—what you’ll smell and taste in your bowl

Harvest 8-9 weeks for best Up Headspace and 10-11 weeks for the narcotic effect to be more pronounced.

Notes on Grandma: — Green House Seeds' “The Doctor”
> From the original release, not the remake. Known for its deeply relaxing, narcotic body effects.

Grandma’s Genetics: Great White Shark, South Indian, Super Skunk. It looks to me that we have our source for the Fruity strain “Great White Shark”

From Leafy.com “Great White Shark has a bold, fruity aroma with undertones of skunk.”

The South Indian is just listed as a Land-race. I do believe it contributes the rich hues of red and brown as the fan leaves die off during late flowering. Otherwise it is a Greenhouse secrete as far as I know.

Super Skunk is listed by Leafy.com as “Super Sunk is an indica marijuana strain made by crossing Skunk #1 with Afghani. ” No specific strain is identified for Afghani.

I am making plans to make seeds when I can. As an ordinary guy sometimes I just have to be patient.
I will update when i have more news.

Jar and Smoke report,

As it sometimes happens, when I trimmed back hard with the aim to ReVeg, well the shock was too much for the girls.
I can think of it as a learning experience but, because of that. Because the untrimmed foliage died and lost it's chlorophyll: I have a small unique sample to sample.

I have never harvested that way before but I have read about experiments with letting plants die in the dark and dry. Also some write they let the plants go dry and die with the lights on.

This was a chlorophyll death with the lights on. I was hoping for ReVeg and seed making.

Okay so no chlorophyll--color not green, harvested off plant still moist because it was still getting water from the roots.

Now ,after some time in jar, I have rolled a couple long ones.
This sample is pliable and isn't cut up all that much. Its rather like fresh off the plant. It reminds me of how natural tobacco leaf can be.

So it is a smooth smoke. Lack of chlorophyll smooth for this sampling of jar cure.

The narcotic effect is quick and is an up, clear and long lasting effect which is basically a non-rollarcoaster effect for four hours, making this a valued medical strain in my opinion.
The "in the jar" smell from of this style of harvest is fruity. Definitely Mango dominate but, other-fruity nonetheless.
The smoke-taste is also fruity.
The room smell is skunk. That is when one walks into the room and sniffs; it is skunk not fruit.

So, this can be a "Day Tripper" in low dose such as Gummies where there is benefit to mood improvement without overdoing things. That is a "real effect with just a little brightening my mood."
A bowl takes me away into the realm of AI and other mathematical wonderlands where I am producing meaningful output for the hours.

I grow the same genetics year after year so I can say that each year is like making Wine. Same grapes slightly different vintage. This season, I let grow to 11 weeks because I needed to know what happens to the plants.
This increased the sedative effect of the narcotic aspect as noted with the strain "The Doctor."
Personally I code so I would rather be in a headspace for that then to be blissfully happy and open to housework but there was only one way to see what growing-long was like and that was to grow-long. The house is looking very nice these days by the way.

I can say that this is an up experience that depends on the grower.
Low dose and one might be happy to clean out the refrigerator. A bong hit and one might be channeling Einstein with ChatGPT for a while.

Sensory enjoyment: Skunky Fruit is for music in my opinion.
Music wise I am enjoying the Baroque period lately for the complexity of early works but I have some very nice playlists too of songs of my era. The one side effect I actually like is to play what is called "Ear-worm" songs on repeat. I just get into some song over and over and I will exhaust every version of it on Amazon Music such as my latest "Cake By the Ocean." obsession. Other times something like DEVO might get the loop treatment so Skunky Fruit is a "Stony" too.

So, this is genetics from over a decade ago with "The Doctor" as a celebrated strain. "
The Doctor" was also remade so there have two different genetic runs. My Girl who I crossed with Granddady Power walker regular seed to make Skunky Fruit is from the first run genetics.

So grow this out to between 8 to 11 weeks. The scale here is the up-mental being closer to 8 weeks and the more sedate narcotic being towards the other end with 11 weeks.
Note: I had very little amber that I could see at 11 weeks so if one grows by sight I have no idea what going into 12+ weeks would smoke like. I would assume it wouldn't please me as much.

There you have it. These genetics should be shared. I can see someone who had mood concerns adding a gummy to morning time and getting a low dose mood-lift. Making cleaning the house feel better. If that speaks to you then you are in my Coffee-Clatch-Club.
So, I will plan on making feminized seed the next "up at bat" of Skunky Fruit. Perhaps towards spring of 2026. Watch this space.

Questions? Advice? Post your comments below. I am currently considering a micro seed business where I maintain a few strains for the future people. If seeds are still legal after the next farm bill, Skunky Fruit will be my first offering. I even have cute icons to use in brand identification. Honestly if we don't attempt to save genetics for the future people then they will fade away as the strain of the month and blend into some Fn generation of a Strain of the Month but the originals could be lost.

Also happening in a thread near you is (Skunky Fruit x Blue Dream) = "Lovely Day."
There is a thread on that where we will flower two F1 who are rather different from each other.
Then we are going to jump right into a cross with Lovely Day x Wedding Cake. There is a thread that is just starting on that. This is a blind cross as I have never sampled Wedding Cake or any of it's genetic line (Durban Poison and all) It's said it has an Up-Effect and a mellow Vanilla grow scent. I'm actually excited about the low scent Vanilla and seeing what changes that makes.

Disclaimer: "All these things while obeying Illinois State Law."

My opinion is that the most danger from growing and consuming one's own Cannabis is the going to jail part not the Cannabis itself which has never killed anyone unlike Tobacco and Alcohol.
I hope more folks State by State and then World Wide, will come to see that people can have a natural plant treatment for minor health concerns along with the enjoyment of one of Nature's wonders.

Butter and tincture report.

Butter is a decent strength for making fudge brownies. One quarter regular size brownie was a good mood lifter. Still up clear but a little more to the sedate/narcotic side. A full brownie was a stronger experience and long lasting. I did want to chill more than do work after the full brownie.

Tincture turned out different this year. I had mixture of 100 proof and 120 proof. There was plenty liquid over the top of the material. This was a different approach from my first time making tincture where the material was just saturated.
Tincture is the best way to dose for me. This years is diluted more then last year.

The difference this time, besides that strength, is that the flavor is there. Oh yes flower taste is there.
If I had bought this from a dispensary and tasted the flower such as I do with this I would rate it Top Shelf A+ for quality.
Organic slow soil grow takes a long time but I taste and smell the results.

All in all a very good medicinal strain if one benefits from mood lift and active in the morning or any time.

I even forget about being "effected" it's so smooth with a gradual slope down and not a crash.

I will be selling these seeds in the future if my idea of a micro business works out.
