Hey y'all,

I just started another phenohunt. Was recently at NECANN and picked up a pack of In House Genetics Slurricane #7 S1 fems. I started germinating 12 Purple City Genetics fems and another 10 Dosi Punch regs from Symboitic Genetics. Not sure why they chose to change the name, but that's what's on the label. None of those seeds germinated, but all 12 Purple City Slurricane seeds did. Still holding out hope for the Symboitic Genetics seeds, but maybe their not viable anymore.

I started germinating the In House Genetics seeds in a container I got at the expo yesterday. It's called Cannakan, pretty cool.

Starting these seeds in 0.5 gal plastic containers again. I'm using the 50/50 mix of Coast of Maine Stonington Blend and Sunshine Grower's Advanced Mix #4 all the way through this grow. I put them in soil yesterday evening and took this picture tonight. There's already some popping up through the soil if you zoom in.

The goal of this phenohunt will be slightly different than my previous three. I'm shooting for a four-five week veg cycle after the two week seedling stage. At the end of week two they'll be transplanted up into 3 gal Rain Science bags. They'll be flowering in an 8Ă—4 AC Infinity tent with two HLG 350Rs. I'l try and dwindle the crop down to 16 plants for flower. I think maybe 20 can fit in there, but that would be pushing it. At this point it looks like I'l be working with 18 females after the In House Genetics seeds germinate and the Symboitic Genetics pack was a dud. I'l still be looking for the heaviest yielding, best quality plant leaning slightly more towards frosty vs yield for this strain.

The seedlings will be in the 4Ă—3 AC Infinity tent with a HLG 100 V2 over them at about 24" away.

One week in soil for the Purple City Genetics seeds and it looks like only eight will make it. None of those Symboitic Genetics seeds germinated and all six of the In House Genetics seeds germinated.

End of week 3 of veg, defoliated these plants yesterday. 6 Purple City Genetics on the left and 6 In House Genetics on the right that are one week behind. I'm liking that front right plant the best so far. That one and middle left for the Purple City Genetics plants.

Getting fed when needed.

Hey man, I would recommend the product. It's definitely an upgrade from the paper towel method. The tweezers tool that comes with it is pretty nifty too. I will be using it for my next two phenohunts I'l be starting in about a month or so. The first time using it I had 100% germination rate in less than 3 days.

were did you get that "puck" for seed germination
Hey man, I got that puck sold to me directly by the inventer/owner of the company at the NECANN Expo earlier this summer up here in Augusta, ME. He was a very nice guy and seemed to know what he was talking about, smart dude. My buddy is planning on starting a nursery and considering using some of their products for propagation. I'm planning on using the cannister again next month when I start another couple of phenohunts.

Defoliated these plants and moved them into their own 8Ă—4 tent. They're gonna have plenty of light with two HLG 750R's in there. The lights are 24" away from the top of the canopy, PPFD is 500-600 for now, lights are at 50% strength. Just two AC Infinity 6" oscillating fans in there for now. Lights are flipping to the 12/12 cycle tonight, Day 1 of flower will be tomorrow.

End of week 2 of flower, three plants are starting to show color early. I have roots already on a cut of the #10 & #11 plants, only 9 days after cutting the clones. #10 is one of the three plants that is showing color early and has excellent structure. Through the first two weeks of flower, it's my early favorite.

The #2 plant in the back right corner is almost twice as tall as every other plant in the room. It's one of the three plants showing color early too. Also has a chance to be the winner.
