Got 8 of 12 plants cut down, all.thata left up is the durban butter, mass super skunk, one of the afghans, and one of the Runtz clones.

I don't have a ton of drying space nor a good setup to slow hang dry so I hang dry the first couple days without any environment control then finish drying in brown papers and cure in Mason jars.

Congratulations outdoor farmer😃👍finally over and no more worries about bugs on the buds. I wish i could of let mine go longer but the catipillars got deep into half my grow. Still harvest was decent for me. Just gratefull to be able to grow pretty much free weed. Yep you amend that soil abit more with N next season and you'll be sorry cause you'll be growing trees you may regret LOL. I love your size of plants easy to handle. I had to hand 7plants last summer hardly any space in a spare room so i know what you mean. But man you got some beautiful buds and you outta be proud. Enjoy and see you around next summer outdoor.✌️

Hey guys I'm back for another season! I've been getting antsy with the good weather starting to come to get my plants going. I've got 16 cuts in the dome right now(8 RuntZ, 5 mass super skunk, and 3 Durban butter) I also started around 8 regular Afghan kush seeds and a single feminized papa Smurf seed a few days ago but all that has popped up so far are two of the afghans.

I wasn't gonna grow the Afghan kush for awhile due to the caterpillars they attract and the resulting mold. However this old hippy that hooks me up with clones and seeds was bummed out when he heard I didn't keep clones from either Afghan last year so I decided to look for a nice pheno this year to clone.

So far I'm done a quick clean up of the garden area. After I finished that I went to check out.the 2 containers of jadam liquid fertilizer I have going. The one I started 2 years ago in a 35 gallon cooler was good so I re-added the bit of liquid I pulled out in the fall.

When I checked out the larger 95 gallon trash can I am using i realized the expansion of the liquids from freezing had burst the flex seal tape I was using to repair a hole in the container. As a result of that ihalf the liquids had escaped. I ended up removing all the solids to uncover the hole and used some gorilla paste to completely fill both holes and this worked great. I added back all the solids and more water.

I'm gonna have to sift through my large pile of compost in the next week or two to get it ready to be used. I bought 3 bales of promix BX and a bunch of extra perlite that I plan on mixing with my compost, worm castings, sea weed extract, azomite powder, bat guano, and sea bird guano and using that mix to grow in. Will use this mix to start my plants in pots but also when they go into the ground I'll add more of this to build up my garden area as well.

Few pics of my liquid fertilizer containers and compost pile.

I started so many cuts because I still don't trust my cloning skills and am gonna be giving a couple friends a few clones each . I only actually plan on growing 10-12 plants for myself in the end haha more than that gets to be a lot of work to grow and then to process it all by myself by hand.

Think I'm finally getting cloning down. Some clones and seedlings I have going right now. The clones here are RuntZ, and mass super slunk.

The seedlings are 1 fem papa Smurf. The next 2 are from a Afghan kush mother and unknown male I labeled these afghan21 for what year the plant they came from was grown. the last 3 are seeds from an afghan21 mother and another unknown male labeled afghan22 for the same reason.

My buddy who I got these afghan seeds from lives in a populated area and I think he has some asshole neighbor who is lazy about Their male plants. I've grown these same seeds out in a rural area and haven't had any issues with hermies so I don't think that's the issue he is having.

One of my friends really likes the Afghan bud that's why I decided to start some more seeds this year to look for a good pheno to clone.

Great job fella. I really like to practice on my plants and clone. It's a challange in the beginning being patient about it. I told myself not to take clones from my current grow indoors but i did it anyway LOL. I'll use them outdoors and only cut 4. I can't hardle resist not cloning when you gotta trim the tiny stems anyway😆😉😉 have fun.

I started some jadam microbial solution about 48 hours ago. Just went and looked at it and it's about perfect so I'm gonna be spraying it all over my garden area and on my potted plants soil as well.

Incase anyone was wondering to make the jadam microbial solution or JMS it's very simple.
First get a large container with a tight lid. (I use a 5 gallon bucket)
Fill the bucket with rain water, well water, or distilled water from the store. If all you have is city water it can be used but it's not recommended and you will have to off gas the water before using it. This is done by pouring it all into a large container 24-48 hours before use and leaving it with the top off so most chemicals will evaporate.
Next go out to the oldest Forest in your area and find the largest oldest tree. At the base of the tree you found move the leaves and very top layer of soil off to the side then dig down into the rich dark soil and take a few handfuls and store it for later this is leaf mold and it is very important for this process to work.
Head back home and get a couple medium or one large potato for every 5 gallons of water used. Take these potatoes and boil them for 15-20 minutes. After boiling let cool then add 1 tbsp of non iodized sea salt for every 5 gallons.
Once cooled take the potato plus salt water solution and blend it to a sludge. (Blending is optional but recommended)
Now put a clean paint strainer into your container and pour the potato sludge into the paint strainer (or something similar that will keep any large solids from getting into the final product while allowing water and microbes to get in)
Next add a couple handfuls of the leaf mold you gathered to the paint strainer and tie the strainer shut. I like to use the lid of the bucket to hold the edge of the strainer so it stays suspended however you can just let it sit on the bottom of the bucket too.
Put the lid on the bucket and leave it to do it's thing. How long it will take will depend on the temperature, the colder it is the longer it will take and the hotter the shorter it takes. On a hot summer day it could take
just 12-24 hours, on a cold spring day it could take 3+ days.

When using it you want to dilute it to 1/20 with the same water you used to make it wether that be rain water, well water, or off gassed city water and spray or pour it around your plants and th entire garden area. JMS is also great for revitalizing old farm.land or dead soil just spray it in the area you want to revitalize once a week and you should see good results. You can use it at full strength but it's recommended to only do this for areas where you don't have any plants yet.

The microbes don't live long after it's ready so you have to use it immediately after you see it is ready. You can tell it's ready when it has a thick layer of bubbles and foam at the top of the bucket like the picture I'm sharing with this. If you let it sit for much longer after it looks like this it will start dying off and become a solution you don't want to use so don't start this process until you are ready to use it. You can tell it's dying off because the Bubbles and foam will start to disappear and it just looks gross from my experience.

If you need more information about this process I believe I shared a link last year in this thread to a YouTube video by Garden like a Viking explaining the whole process with visuals of the solution at different stages of the process. But if you don't find the link just search YouTube for "garden like a vikings JMS" and you'll find the video real easy.

Think I'm gonna start my clones earlier next year. I planted the mother plants outside again and will let them flower but think I'm not gonna do that next year will just cull them depending on how well these ones do.

Definitely over watered some of the clones couple are looking kinda shitty luckily I'm not growing them all, I'm giving away some clones then I'll see how many males I get from the seedlings and replace those with clones before killing the rest of the clones I don't need so I probably won't need the ones that look rough.

Then on top of that got a ton of rain the last couple weeks so my mother plants are also showing signs of over watering so I took them out the pots a week or so ago and put them in the ground so hopefully they will grow out of that soon enough.

Waiting on a delivery of 60 1 gallon pots to transplant some of my regular herbs into, and some of the clones im giving to friends as well .

Got some new clones given to me, 1 unicorn poop, 1 unicorn poop x runtz, 1 super silver haze, 1 papa Smurf (same batch of seeds as the papa Smurf I started this year but different plant), and one plant just labeled D a relative got from an old friend who's been growing outdoors in the area for decades relative has no idea what strain it is.

Same relative almost killed the unicorn poop x runtz and the super silver haze because another one of their friends who gave it to the relative for me had just pulled them out of the dome and the relative left the plant put in the direct sun for a few hours 🤦‍♂️.

Will get some new pics up tomorrow.

Took these an hour ago. Added some pics of my companion plants as well.

We've had a lot of rainy cold weather getting down into low to mid 40s at night the last few days so think that slowed the big girls down a bit. Been bringing the smaller plants in at night but think can finally start leaving outside for the nights.

Gonna make a raised bed for my potatoes. Started them in a ditch this year now I'm gonna build a thin raised bed around them. Might tear it down next year and make it bigger but for now I'm gonna make it just slightly wider than the row of potatoes.

It's getting hotter everyday here. I just got indoors about 12noon from weed wacking the areas i'm setting my pots out in. Hope i don't have to do anymore of that LOL. Our night temps staying around 48-50f. Got mine sitting outside but they are still small might of overwatered when i had them indoors. There getting a good dry back now LOL 85f now. I have my potatoes in a raised bed there looking good it's packed with them in there as they've been in that same spot 2summers now.
I think it's gonna be another roaster of a summer here in So. Oregon.

When I started growing in the area I am the ground was basically dead so don't get enough weeds to need to weed whack. But I do pull some out of the ground if needed. I've been building our the area with old potting soil and compost for like 4-5 years now.

I just hope it's not as wet as it was last year. There was way too much rain here in the Northeast.

Quickly put together the raised bed. Will fill it in as the potatoes grow. Didn't anchor it or anything yet just put some soil around the outside to hold it in place for now.

Also wanted to say yeah I definitely over water when the plants are indoors too gal. I gotta let them go longer between waters next time.

This group of 4 are most of the new strains I got. The big one at top is unicorn poop, the other 1 gallon pot that looks like shit is the unicorn poop x runtz my relative almost killed, the smaller pot that is higher up in pic is super silver haze , and the last small pot is papa Smurf.

This next one is another papa Smurf from same group of seeds.

This is the last new strain I got, not sure what it is yet the only thing on the label was D so that's what I'm calling it till i get the strain name .

The durban butter.

The RuntZ (same plant as last couple years) stretching it out some so branches can grow up.

IMG 20250606 144702

These two plants are both mass super skunk (same plant as last year) think the yellowing is from over watering.
IMG 20250606 144715
IMG 20250606 144705

And lastly this is the Betty Page (same as last year). However a few months ago a couple drunk idiots fell on it while arguing and nearly killed it broke a bunch of branches so didn't even have much options to clone it and start over without killing this . Starting to bounce back now so just gonna let it go with heavy training.

Killed a couple males so down to 3 of the Afghan seedlings I know one is for sure a female and believe the other 2 are too however still too small to really tell in microscope.

I also fimmed a few of my smaller plants in the 1 gallon fabric pots. I've never actually tried "fimming" only topped so wanted to experiment a little. I fimmed the known female afghan, the papa Smurf seedling, and the RuntZ they all seemed to be between the 5th and 7th nodes

Did some more training on the Betty Page too.
IMG 20250610 174330

The unicorn poop x runtz clone is starting to bounce back finally with new growth. (Furthest left) Just put the super silver haze (furthest right) and the papa Smurf (center) in 1 gallon pots today.

IMG 20250610 174735

Do people just bury those cheap cardboard pots they start their plants in? I got a couple clones in those and they started to grow through them but I wasn't sure if they would restrict their growth if I tried to just bury them with the plant in them.

Was also given a few cuttings of glookies too that I have in the dome right now. Hopefully those root so ill have one more strain to choose from for next year. Will take cuttings from every strain next month and keep them alive until at least harvest then once I need room I'll decide what to cull keeping my favorites to grow again next year.

Some pics from today, have put 4 plants in the ground since last update and the smaller plants have gone into 3 gallon pots. Still have 2 more ready to go in the ground tomorrow. I think the 3 that just went into 3 gallons will go into 7 gallon pots next and finish in those.

I noticed today one of my two mass super.skunk.plants has already started to flower but the other hasn't. They are right next to each other, same age, and came from same mother I'm wondering if one is going into the shade earlier than the other. That's the only one I've seen that's flowering yet.

I really like the results of fimming the ones I've fimmed so I think I'm gonna start using this method for most applications unless I'm taking clones. The turn around is much faster and has similar results as topping.
