Does the north side of an outdoor/greenhouse marijuana plant produce lesser results as compared to the southern facing side?

In the northern hemisphere, our August-October flowering season sees the sun decline into the southern sky, greatly reducing the northern side of a plant's direct sun exposure. With large plants, the shading effect seems like it could be substantial.

Does this result in lower quality flowers on the north side than the south? Less dense and/or less frosty?

I put reflective material on the north side of my plants last year, reflecting the light back south onto the north side of the plants. Saw a significant improvement on the yield on the north side of the plants.
