Even says on the label it's good for gnats. I also use it in my small pond (when the raccoons have cleared out the fish) and think it actually works better for the gnats. Seems to kills all of them and they don't come back. In the pond, for mosquitos, you need to keep applying every couple weeks. It is a biologically, but doesn't mean it's not dangerous to other pond gritters (so 10 goldfish for $1 is a better option for me).

Lol.. I have the same problem with the raccoons clean me out of $200 worth of koi year before last... All I have in there now is a little muskie because I think he ate all the other panfish in there.. and yeah I've seen that stuff in the store before I'll try it this fall when I bring the pond plants in because I'm not talking about just a few gnats it was more like a swarm

Active ingredient on this is BT, which is fine by me, I would take this over anything containing pyrithion, that shit is crazy toxic, people tout it because its "organic" Yeah well so is hemlock. 🙄
Unfortunately BT doesn't kill spider mites.

What about this ?

I accidentally sprayed one of my seedlings with the neem oil and it totally decimated the plant theres no coming back

How did dirty hippies ever grow weed? I will never be this clean, perhaps I should reconsider hydro. 🤣

So how did they battle Spider Mites?
5 ml of vegetable oil , a teaspoon of light soap flakes to 1 lt of water spray entire plant top to bottom under leaf especially, lights out of corse , if you don’t have flake soap you can use a mild biodegradable dishwashing liquid but be careful the oil smothers the mite and will some what smother the eggs , I wash mine off with fine spray from the hose it’s helps wash off a lot of eggs and mites that are dead leave another day no light just dapple light if you go hard on the light you will fry your plants .

I don't presently have a problem, just being proactive, considering dusting with diatomaceous earth as a preventative.

Don’t waist your time DT will not kill them one mite lays thousands of eggs I’m talking from experience mate .

Thanks for the info on pyrithion... Actually meant to spray with neems oil but in the dim light of the basement I grabbed the wrong bottle.. sure did work though but I won't be using it again I just have it around for the ornamental flowers in my yard.. built a house here in the middle of nowhere on a scenic River way and the wildlife is insane.

I'm just looking for a preventative so I can prevent all the spray down needed after an infestation occurs, I keep things tidy but I'm NEVER going to be andromeda strain research lab clean, I have dry skin & its getting dryer at 57, can't shower more than every other day, work OT constantly (up to 65 hours a week) live alone & have no time to sleep lest be super anal about cleaning my house, thus is life, I do what I can do.
