Beetle (that's what I named him) is doing pretty good,
he's flying 10-15 feet in all directions from "base" (which changes);
and he now can balance himself on one foot;
which means he can scratch-out those pinfeathers on his neck and head--
they're not very aerodynamic...
...it was really pathetic yesterday;
to watch him try to follow mommybird through the hogwire fence--
and end-up on the ground thinking "WTF just happened???"...

* We have some big green beetles (no, not Japanese Beetles; these things are like the size of 4 Japanese Beetles) that can't fly, they bump into things and fall on the ground--
I think these are their larvae:

Everybody's been sexed and pruned.
[Well, the last three (feminized) Larry OGs haven't been pruned yet;
but they'll catch-up real quick--
they're quite vigorous...]

Looks like they are off to a great start.
That's going to produce quite a candy store.

Agreed one hell of a proper line up. The silverbubster F3s sounds so dank dude straight FIRE. Nice to see beetle on the road to recovery get them wings in the air.

Mommybird took Beetle off up into the big trees yesterday afternoon,
and I "haven't seen him since"--
there is some little hummingbird that's been buzzing me very close--
sometimes when I go outside tho...

Hey @Sativied,

It looks like the newest leaves (top "leaf" label in pic below) have merged together at an early stage. This prevents the newest part to become like the part below it, i.e. the shoot system, the repetition of nodes, broke and now there's no place to grow lateral buds and branches. Sort of self-pruning of the branches, but also the the axillary buds 'and' apical/terminal bud, leaving an empty stem that will continue to grow/elongate, in this case, since empty, it will look "stretched".

I would top it, considering based on the top view the cup won't grow out of it either, and hope the two other branches continue to develop normal. I wouldn't use it for seeds.

I think that the apical/terminal bud and it's stem,
will be stunted when the two lateral/secondary stems pass it--
I'd leave it just 'cause I'm curious to see what actually occurs...

Good point, he can leave it on and still get a similar outcome as topped. Maybe bend it over / LST it to "help" it do that. I don't expect it to change (new leaves/branches) though but that's just a guess.

I'd still wanna see what it did naturally/all by itself--
before I try to manipulate one of 'em...

Yeah right now the two side branches are gaining height but the mutant top keeps growing aswell. I have been doin a lil LST with the two side branches. Will show another pic tn at some point when i get home. Normally i would have topped the mutant part off by now but im jus gonna let this runt run free see what comes of it. I was gifted a shit load of crop king seeds from a friend this year and nothing of wich really held my interest so im not banking on any of that gear just dropped it in to see what comes of it.

One of the CK black indica seedlings is a three way split three cotyledons to start and it pushed out three secondary leafs after that and still coming in strong with a three way split. Ill try and snap a pic or two of that aswell.

A Tricot!!!
That's wonderful,
looks like a little clover plant;
only thing "better" is a Quadcot--
which looks like a 4-leaf clover...

Have you checked-out Sativied's thread???

Yesterday I was spreading chipped bamboo mulch on the pathways,

two humming appeared about three feet in front of me, beetle was on the ground with a "big" hostile male hummingbird "attacking" (threatening) him;
I started asking them what was goin' on and mommabird buzzed in like a lightening bolt chasing away the male (possible Beetle's father),
and Beetle followed (right through that hogwire fence--
he came to me for help!!!...
...just before dusk I was walking around "looking",
and Beetle landed on a tomato cage next to me;
he moved to the exact spot on the fence where I found him the first day--
we talked a while before he flew up into the big trees to "go to bed"...

the mutated top is still on top but the sides branches are creeping up quick. What a wonderful experience geologic, to be so close to nature beetle sounds like he has so much personality at such a young age its amazing to understand and communicate with plants and animals. What a wonderful world we live in.

Sport female (Late Night)

Two extra little solar panels to feed the buds above it. I'm going to take a closer look at the rest tonight, just noticed it on a picture.

I pruned the larger Strawberry Hash Plant twin,
thinking it might stimulate the smaller one; nope--
I deem them dwarf/runts...
[I'm not sniveling, got a lot more nice SHP's I'm waitin' to taste]

I was gonna dot the same with the Doctor Jackie twins;
but heck, they're both lookin' pretty good--
I'll let 'em go...

Hi Geologic, what a lovely combination of beauty and ghoulishness you've got in your thread here. Very cool!!

Well, I've got a live one here -- super lemon haze -- and all sorts of weird.

Some areas along the branch there's clusters of 3 nodes, some areas only one, and once you get to the top -- like 30. lol The odd thing is it's only this one branch that's mutated, the rest of the plant look completely normal. o_O
