How do you feed those babies? All natural? Is Dervish your creation? beauties

They're fed all kinds of organic goodies I can toss into the mulch pile,
all year long, along with compost teas: all "natural"
<that doesn't mean anything on store labels Heh>;
Dervish is Jah's creation: whorled phyllotaxy volunteer,
that didn't produce any WP offspring <yet>--
last year was the first year I've ever used just one male...

Looks delicious, better than many indoor results. Beautiful picture of the CD-4, color, canoes, and white top included. Does she smell as good as she looks?

I wish I could identify and describe all the smells and tastes,
as would an analytical laboratory,
like you an' some others can do;
but if it isn't a simple frankincense, lemon, skunk, orange, pine, strawberry an' the like:
one word descriptions--
I just can't sort 'em out...

I try to go a little further but I don't think I am very good at it either.

I watched this docu a while ago, SOMM
Really interesting to see how they describe the taste and smell. I think the cannabis industry still has a long way to go before it's treated similarly. Cannabis has a much wider spectrum of taste and smell and would imo be very suitable for similar approach. The main difference is that for wine to taste like orange, wood, or "Freshly cut rubberhose" the grape plant doesn't actually need to have that as an ingredient. While cannabis has more variation of itself already, lemon for example is actually from limonene terpenes lemons produce too.

CD-4 is crossed with:
Dervish2014 (her father),

CJ-5 (our favorite Casey Jones x GSC X Dervish),

geo2014-#4 (IBL),

Doctor Jackie and Strawberry Hash Plant,

...and--
Girl Scout GHash
(I was obviously well-medicated when I wrote the name tag)...

Very impressive. Nicely swollen and frosty.

Is Dervish from the geo-ibl or a different cross?

Yes, that IBL was the only thing I had for a ~quarter century;
Dervish and that 2014#4 will be the last of my pure IBL males--
I be mixin'-it-up big-time these days...

That was a stupid and inaccurate statement--
obviously, if I plant another geo2014#4 <or another IBL>;
and I get some kinda Whorled Phyllotaxy <or whatever> male--
I'd use him...

disclaimer:
I'm early-tasting at least 10 new varieties a day--
no tellin' what I'm gonna say next...

Make that:
"I'd consider using him"
I'm gonna stick to posting pics--
and go back to early tasting...

I've got a buncha stories I only tell people who know me very well,
cause they're the only ones who would believe 'em;
I was just listening to a soundboard,
recorded by a taper friend in Sommerville West Virginia in '93--
and it reminded me of this:
(one of the maybe more believable ones)

In 1974 I had a job tending polo ponies in North Georgia;
my pay was living in an antebellum 20 room plantation house
(with the big columns at the front porch an all), fireplaces in every room emanating from 4 chimneys seated in the basement slave quarters, big original old barn across the dirt road
(slave graveyard over the hill from there),
a big lake in front with a dam and down at the bottom-back
a water turbine generating station (generator long-gone)
but I traced the serial number back to the manufacturer
thanks to the Whole Earth Catalog (they sent me copies of the original paperwork/bill of sale/shipping info to closest "big" town, which wasn't in Georgia) and a newer horse barn with 4 stalls behind the house attached to an original wooden structure I used for a chicken coop (might have been a smokehouse).

Anyway, on the hill behind the chicken coop I had a garden of Colombian plants from seeds right out of those bales of Gold/Red Colombian that was EVERYWHERE back then.

I was in the middle of the garden when I heard a distant rumbling that kept getting louder and louder 'till it was so loud I knew it had to Ragnarok or Armageddon or a tornado or a freight train;
and then the sun disappeared: it got dark;
and a B-25 flew over maybe 100 feet above my head
(maybe 50 feet from the top of the house),
and it wasn't flying horizontally,
it was hugging the hilltops/treetops...
...I sat down right there,
fired up a big one--
and contemplated, uh--
everything...

I still need to figure-out how to make music accessible here,
the '93 DAT s/b of the Free Mexican Air Force band is better;
and I've got lots of his Panama Red Ryders band recordings too--
an' him with Jerry Garcia and Bill Monroe and, and...
