I've had a compost pile brewing away for about 3 years. My son flips it over each late spring and early fall. I prefer cold composting as it turns everything to worm castings, even though it a long term project.

I have a half gallon of stale wine that I'd like to add to it so it doesn't go down my sewer pipe. Do I have to dilute it first or do you think the critters in the pile would prefer it straight?

My mother ALWAYS diluted my wine when I was growing up, but I think these guys can chew right through straight.

What do you all think?

I would wonder about the alcohol in it. Probably wouldn’t be a big deal. But you could always boil that off first.
