Good point! I enjoy coco. I've used Manna Mix from Vital Earth, and ReadyGro. Found it very forgiving.

CaCl2 to boost Ca levels without fucking up other ratios (and add Cl if you are using RO), and Ca25 as a foliar or metalosate calium. Calcium has a hard time getting from the roots to the tops. It also is super critical when it comes to the translocation of most other nutes through the plant. I just started testing 150ppm Ca plus weekly Ca25 foliar feeds and plants look great.

I am a firm believer that Ca is MOST IMPORTANT to great grows.

Beneficial microbes in the mix will also help with balance, and can often correct deficiencies and toxicities. I have also been feeding 20 seconds on and an hour off, and the consistency of plant health on multi strain grows is excellent.

I also lowered my ppms substantially like you did DWD. my rdwc gets max 1.2EC, and my coco gets 1.8EC at peak.

Even 3% will burn yoru skin. It turns it temporarily white. It will also harm roots, while making them appear perfectly healthy. I saw you read up on fatman. Have you considered movign away from store bought lines and toward raw salts? You woudl save a lot of money, and you can make yoru own boosters by just changign the elemental ratios.

From personal experience I can vouch for this especially if u not getting run off , dwd feed till run off and check the run off ppm and let us know what it is .im almost positive it's not 400

I will check my plants tomorrow...that would be to water them with the roughly 400 of base 100 calimagic.....
and see what it comes out at correct.....in my experience this isn't as accurate as slurry test's which have proven to be withing decent range.

Darth fader hit it on the head......I like run canna at 700-800 range and foliar all the rest. This keeps the coco clean. And to chime in on the reused coco, I'm running the exact same coco perlite from more than 2 years ago. It'll get very fluffy like cotton or dryer lint. I NEVER alter my nutes because of it.

thought about it....yes....but have been trying to dial what I have and simplify things....
I have 24 strains currently and try to keep most in rotation...I can't create more work for myself.....

1ml/gal is no where near 3% so........

Another excellent point. When I've used coco, I watered to runoff. Sometimes to much sometimes to little, sometimes just right.

Below is a photo of a pansy I grew in coco. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.

This is why I rarely come her. I came to share my experiences to potentially help some one and this is what get.
You aren't the person I thought you were. Thanks for being open to discussion.

Hey, we were having such a good discussion. I was learning more about how less nutes are required when Ca requirements were met, due to enhanced uptake. This is helping my understanding a lot. Trying to figure out what this all means. I bet there is Ca chloride in your cal product.

So don't (20%)run off.

I'm in chow mix so this may not apply a ton, but I will be trying your maxing out at like 1.0 EC technique. I have always heard of good things from lower feeding, but I always get deficiencies when I try going to like 1.1. I am currently maxing out at 2.0, I have no tip burn or deficiencies at this level, and my run off is usually at 1.2-1.4 EC. This makes me think that the plants are feeding a lot and that going even higher wouldn't be bad.

If your going with no run off shouldn't your media be building up salts? Have u done a slurry test toward the end of flower before a flush to see what it's at? I love drip clean but it isn't a miracle cure for salt build up, run off is important in media based growing. I have used blumats with no run off though and things went well, also had a lil salt build up

What do you think of the theory that higher ppms lead to denser nugs, while lower leads to more water uptake which the dry weight looses when dried. I read this on janus' thread like a year ago I believe, could be wrong tho, I will check later. Great thread topic

How high you can take your EC is going to strain specific I can run my ortega hajplant at 2800+ ppms no problem in hempys or earth buckets. But I can't go past 800 with my sensi star. I have run them on the same table before though with success trying to compare ppms from system to system is kinda pointless. I wouldn't feed my plants in my UC like I would my handfed plants or or hempys. And earth buckets are hempys with no hole you water when they get light and you never have run off very simple very effective been around for decades. Idont buy into more water equals more water weight in the summer my grows can reach 100+ degrees I have to drop my ppms in half and water twice as much to keep up with transportation in the end its going to be an identical plant to one grown at 78. Actually if you have all your requirements met the hotter room could end up being a larger plant. And I think the cutoff point with the canna is like 750ish range when you hit 60ppms of ca.

LOL SMF. I thought somebody was gonna start measuring their dick there for awhile. "Mine's bigger than yours".... nananana boo boo! Keep that hammer close, bro! ("Bayliff, whack his pee-pee")

Ok....back to overfeeding....

Anyone seen/used these nutes before? http://www.foli-organic.com/ Comments?

The theory here, from my understanding anyway.... is to focus on providing >every< element the plant needs rather than on the strength/concentration of NPK. Applications are foliar and soil drench.

Gonna check and see if my samps have shown @ the local hydro shop today and see what the gig is....but I like the theory/the direction here.
