Hi all,

UK based and having tea trouble germinating seeds.

Currently got one trying to germinate in the airing cupboard in a zip lock bag on a piece of kitchen towel but after three days in the dark it’s not doing anything?

I’m a total newbie to this and only grow one plant at a time as a hobby. Appreciate every seed is different but does anyone have any advice please?

Thank you in advance
Put it in dirt and water. I use sterile seed mix.

Everyone has there own method, mine is let soak in water for 48 hours, then put in dirt on low light. But there are many ways that work, I just have the best luck with that method.
Ok what temp you getting you reckon?

I tried a soak for 12 hours until the seed sunk to the bottom and didn’t come back up

Appreciate the advice man 💪

Worse part of the grow for me is popping seeds. Been doing it since the 1970's and it goes no better for me now then it did then regardless of method. Pure crap shoot for me. Hell first time I got busted was in Jr. High School, buying, selling and trading seeds.... LMFAO. Couldn't have to much seed.

Appreciate the advice my man I have one so will try it out 💪

I set 25-27. If you have one with thermostat - fine. If not you better try, measure
That temp is needed in the root zone for about a week so I use heat matt in tent while starting baby pots
remember about putting something between heat matt and water container or raise it. It applies also to baggies in paper towel method- easy to cook the seeds without some isolation from infrared
In warm countries they have it easier 😉

A Gape Slurpee just popped it's little helmet head up. 😂🤣😂 The struggle is real!
