Super Silver Haze *GreenhouseSeed* 4x2

Yep DJ Short was saying because of the tropical climate by the equater is 13/11 and 11/13 for light cycle if i remember right. Which makes sense why the sativas flower so long, they have less daylight to work with. I think I just saw the same interview...

I think I just saw the same interview probably, it was really cool. ✌
That page has a nice Captain Jack interview too, worth hunting down. The 12-1 lighting method is spear heading by controversial folks like Joe Petri, I first heard about the 12-1 lighting from Joe on an interview. Looked into it and found some regular folks following it with great results. I don't know if I can do the Veg part of it but now veg for 16 hours instead of 18. I'm a believer, especially after this grow , did the .5 reduction of light after every 2 weeks., I stopped at 10 hours. When I saw DJ Short saying what he said...just cemented everything I've been reading about the 12-1 lighting method. And I agree, a dam good interview. (Caused me to hunt down some Blueberry beans from Dutch Passion)

I forgot to mention because my temps are a little high, compared to industry standards. (60 fahrenheit/ 60 humidity) (How the freak did the guys from the 60's- 70's dry their shit?) I honestly don't give a rats ass or lose sleep over it....BUT.... because I can't get those temps (not yet folks, winter is around the corner) of 60, I decided to hang the "whole" plant for some help, in delay of the drying time. Last grow I cut the branches , a wet trim and laid them in an infinity drying rack. Hanging the whole plant will get you a longer dry. You should at least get a weeks worth of drying, anything sooner and your just asking for a harsh smoking experience. My temps range from 71-75, best I can do (until winter hits).. and have not gotten one complaint from the neighbors about my flower.

I work for growers up in Humboldt in the late 70s! It was hung in a barn till the boss figured it was dry enough! Then was trimmed by a crew. Packaged into pounds. And taken down to the bay area we’re guys from New York we’re waiting to shell out 2500 to 3000 a pound. The three years I worked for them. I never heard the word try comb or cure uttered! L O L! When it purpled up, it was harvested! Maybe the buyers took it and cured it. But I doubt it! I still don’t use a Loupe that much. You can tell when it gets that satin sheen to it. And full senescence. Primitive times. They use a lot of miracle grow back then too. Lol.

Another thing I forgot about... We finally get to test the soil. I gathered a sample of the SIlver HAze pot. Hopefully the tests reveal what's been going on. Finally some potential closure.

And these are the results. All I needed to re amend the soil was Nitrogen. Oops... should've waited..😐 (I'm also wondering if the Wood ash pushed the Phosphorus and Potassium up) I'm impressed with the test kit, gonna be using them more often.

Thanks! I’ll check it out! It’s nice to know what you’re working with when it comes to re-amending! Hopefully it’s halfway accurate!
The one that has me stumped (and surprised) is the high sulfur. Only thing that I can think of adding that had sulfur in it was Langbeinite and Epsom Salt. And not much of it. Although the Epsom Salt was added two weeks before harvest which was a huge mistake, that should have been added during the flip maybe if at all. I did a tablespoon (of the epsom salt) to a gallon of water, maybe I was already high in Sulfur before adding it. In hindsight that seems to be the case. One of the tell tale signs of a Sulfur toxicity is dark leaves and slow growth.

I hear you! But what are you have to remember is those numbers are parts per million! 390 ppm is still a minuscule amount! I don’t think it’s enough to cause any toxicity! But I fly by the seat of my pants. 6 ppm of nitrogen? Took that right down to the wire! Lol but it sure is nice to have the numbers! in my opinion, the plant knows what it wants and takes what it wants! As long as you have it in there for them! I love the making your own soil method! Once you have it all mixed and cooked it’s easy as pie all summer! The lazy man’s way of growing! Hell yeah!

But you are growing indoors, while I am out doors! I don’t know if there’s a huge difference or not, but there might be! All of those micros can probably be remedied with something as simple as Azomite.

I had these two seeds floating in bottled water for 36 hours and only one of them popped a little tail, couldn't tell with the other seed, probably a dud, Greenhouse is notorious for bad seeds (but if I can just get one to germinate). dropped them both in party cups with a little mycorrhizae. I use to use the Great White but found that Mykos is a bang for your buck item. This is their temporally setup/home till the 4x2 Infinity tent gets situated. We are just finishing up a dry n cure in there. If these don't germinate..shortest thread on the Farm.. 🤣

Thanks, I usually do the peroxide, I think 3% is the sweet spot? but I just drop about a teaspoon (or so) to whatevers in the water bottle now. Greenhouse seeds do have the reputation of selling duds. If I didn't have these seeds sitting around for awhile I would have reached out to the vendor I bought them from for a replacement. But yeah peroxide seems to help generally for me. Thanks for the input.

We got her trimmed and bagged for the Cure.
