If you only watered a little yesterday then yes I would water thoroughly as I described above today.
10-4 I got it done earlier. Thanks for saving my ass. Hopefully that’ll help the recovering process. I finally have all my fans set up so temp and humidity are on extra lockdown. I remember when my light burn first came about you recommended putting something in between so I’ve use a piece of parchment paper the size of the light, laid on top of my Scrog net and raised it to the light for dimming. It still seems pretty bright (as in plant is still getting enough I hope) but the direct light is definitely reduced, hoping not too much. There is still some little browning and tip burn starting to appear on the next set of leaves up, but it’s generally seemed to slow a lot. Not nearly what I was initially.

hey man, do you have a scale? if so, weigh the pot when dry, note how much it

weighs, then you know exactly when to water; just let her dry back to that weight

i'm not a dirt farmer but i've seen that method mentioned in many posts about when to water.

-peace- 💪 ✌️🎅
Yessir do have a scale and heard that method a few times yet idk why I haven’t tried. Will start now.

Okay, that sounds like a fire hazard. What ever you use, keep it closer to the plant then the light. Paper in contact with LEDs could ignite.

Took off the brown dead leaves, left with this lil guy. Watered yesterday and around the entire pot not just the middle. And yes I’ve let it dry completely both times now before watering again.

I’ve had a problem with what seems to be light burn, so I was recommended to place something in between the plant and light to dim the brightness for a few hours a day. I’ve been using it for the entire light on cycle, every cycle, ever since my problem as it wasn’t going away. Now I feel it’s definitely slowed down but it’s still showing on the tips of these newer leaves too. I decided today to start removing the cardboard for the last 4 hours of light each cycle to see if that’ll help boost her up and stop the problem. Not sure what to do. I’m doing what I can but I can’t pinpoint this problem. What mistake am I making god knows there’s a few lmao.

The leaves themselves look better then a week ago when they had yellow along all the edges and between the veins. You did just top her right, so I can see that she is reshaping herself and putting out smaller leaves. She looks thirsty and a bit stressed. When you water her do you get all the soil wet to the bottom of the pot? That's a must.
In your pics last Monday the stem was coming straight up out of the soil. Now it has a pretty severe angle. Did you pull her over with the green wire?
As far as the light issue, I was confused by:

Was she getting light during the day cycle or were you shading her all day.

I think she looks a little better. Have patience and keep caring for her gently.

Yes sir I watered fully all around the pot. I made sure not to make the mistake of only watering the center again. Correct I topped exactly a week ago and then trained her down with the wire. I thought the leaves looked a little better as well, especially with the yellow outlining. I did trim off the original ones as they were just very brown and shriveled, and I didn’t want them affecting the plant in a negative way. So all the leaves you see are the second sets of leaves for each branch, each main fan leave had to go. But even with that said, like you said, these ones do look a little better and seem to have a better shade of green?

Yes sir let me explain. So during the 18hr light on cycle, I would keep the shade on the entire time. Only because I saw the problem getting worse. And it isn’t complete shade, just takes the direct light off. I’m scared to give the plant any direct light at all because it seems every time I do, the plant tells me no. Shriveled leaves, brown leaves.

And I appreciate that. I see signs that she’s getting better I just get so worried and impatient. Gotta remind myself these aren’t overnight fixes.

I see you're saying that you watered all the way round but what I'm asking is did you water as I wrote instructions for previously;
It appears your watering from the top in peat based soil so a proper way to water is to start by wetting all the soil on top. Dry peat repels water so you have to let it sit and get wet for 5 minutes then water more thoroughly. Let that sit for 5 or 10 minutes. Then water again. By patiently repeating this process until an amount of water comes out the bottom of the pot you can be sure that every portion of soil in the pot is wet. Then don't water again until the pot has dried back. Probably about 5 to 7 days for a young plant in a pot, also considering temp, humidity, ventilation and fans. Watch for leaves to become a little wilted, that indicates time to water. A few weeks from now you'll need to shorten the time between waterings as she gets bigger.
I just want to make sure that you followed those instructions because incomplete watering will cause the brown leaves that you're seeing, so I want to rule out that possibility. Since you were giving partial shade all day for a week it doesn't seem that the burn is from the light, so I thought maybe it's from the watering.

The way that you trained your plant using the green wire to pull the main stem to the side was too aggressive IMHO. I've never seen that before. By doing that you may have disturbed the roots and stressed her badly. But only time will tell. They are just weeds and they can take a lot and keep coming back. Suggest you read up on the subject of "Training Cannabis" and look at some other peoples training techniques.

Ah yes sir I did, sorry I thought I mentioned that. I made sure water was coming out of the bottoms of the pot before i stopped. Took about 1.5 liters total before it started running off. But as you saw, the last water wasn’t sufficient. Solely down the middle, and not nearly till runoff. So maybe it’s recovering from that half-ass watering? I will re watch my training videos. I tried to mimic what I was watching/reading but I will for sure do more re search. Sorry for the rookie mistakes, First grow so I’m still learning lol

Sorry,,, I forgot your in that tiny propagation/drying tent...
I know man I’m tryin I’m tryin, that’s the next move for sure and maybe not the only light on the market without a dimmer? I’m not seasoned yet 😂

Hey yall! Haven’t updated in almost two weeks (Those last pics i posted were taken 12/19/24.)
Everything is GREAT. All discoloring is gone and haven’t seen any coming back since. Got the watering cycle locked in by weight and soil feel and haven’t had an overwatering problem since. Plant is growing!!! I’m officially a month and a couple days in, I figured she’s a little behind with the problems from early on. But looks to be coming back strong! Here’s some pics of here today. Gonna LST a couple other branches probably later this week.

Thank you ALL for your opinions and help. This is all yall!!

Another update for yall! Everything seems to be going good. I’ve done a little more training and defoliation. Running out of horizontal room so I think I’m gonna bring my SCROG net in here shortly see if I can weave some branches around and get good coverage. Temp and humidity have been locked in no issues, water cycle is locked in, and I think my plant is strong enough for my light now without any protection. (My light doesn’t have a dimmer)
The photos go back to the 4th, so there’s a round of defoliating and training. I also topped one last time to achieve less height and more chunk.
Let me know what yall think!

-2x2x2 tent kept at 65-68Rh & 75-78F
She's looking wonderful now!

I feel an itch to bring up this subject. When are you going to flip? Small tent+undimmable light=gonna run out of room quick when they stretch. Thinking you might want to flip now. Rule of thumb they might double in size. If they get too close to the light during flower the flower tops could have issues with foxtailing and/or burning.
My tent is 5 feet tall so I really only have 3 feet of growing space. Sometimes I have a plant that grows all the way up to the light, sometimes not. Hard to guess when growing from seed, but it is a nuisance when it happens.

Yes sir started thinking that last week when room became a problem. I was thinking by Thursday/friday (4-5 more days) just so I can get the Scrog involved and get a good shape before flipping. I totally understand what you’re saying I appreciate that because a few days ago I would’ve thought I had weeks to go. Last thing I want is more light problems so I’ve been trying to LST as much as I can and keep her low. I will see day by day for the next week and get her switched this week for sure
