Yes you can dilute the tea down to whatever you like. The best results I get are when I put it in my res and let me res water my plants for a week with 1-2 cups per 5 gallons, and then I will add a cup of concentrated tea in to the crown as well. I have a 100 gallon res that waters 18 plants in 2 or 3 gallon smart pots.

So when I make a 5 gallon tea it pretty much covers my MPB that holds a 150 gallons, my coco wall of dank that is on 2. 40 gallon reservoirs, and my veg on a 100 gallon.

The key is consistency, but that goes for everything really. I don't have a lot of plants compared to a lot of people with the same amount of lights, so that helps.

By concentrated do you mean full strength?

Yeah. Straight from the bucket. Today I applied soem that I made yesterday. I added a gallon to my res, and then a couple of cups concentrate to each plant at the crown, and then I sprayed them too with 50/50 tea and water.

yo cap quick question.. i just added the tea to my undercurrent i run my lights on at night because its usually cooler to do so, however it is muggy as hell tonight and my water temps are pretty high at 71 degrees even with my chiller running.. My question is what is the highest temp my water can get without damaging my roots?? i liked to run my water at 68 degrees max in a sterile system.. Using the tea can i go slightly higher than that?? Right now my water is at 71 degrees..

Cap, jus got my goods in thee mail today. Tonight Im going to mix a batch up. Can I apply this to my rockwool grow if its been in bloom for five days? Also, I am using three part gh, kb, a lil calmag, and ancient earth. Do I mix the tea with my regimen or no?

Yes you can use it on the rockwool. You may mix the tea with your line up. Just add the tea after you have added base and all supplements, and pH balanced. In other words, add the tea at the very end.

I like to give a cup of tea to the ladies before I leave them alone for the evening. :)

I'm playing around with different recipes for Veg and Flower. Does anyone else do something like this?

Veg Tea
3 gals water
1/2 cup EWC
1/2 cup Alfalfa
100 ml Organic Blackstrap
1 tbsp of Nute, Foliar, and Root pack

Flower Tea.
4 gals water
1/4 cup EWC
3/4 cup Budswell (dry)
120 ml Organic Blackstrap
1 tbsp of Foliar and Root pack

I'm also playing around with a diy vortex brewer. Really getting into this whole tea thing more and more.

6 hours or so with no O2.

You need to use tea fresh. Make only what you need to save $$

The directions for the tea recipe call for a large air pump. I would like to know if I need a minimum of 80 L/min. to run a batch of tea in a 5 gallon bucket per the instructions. Can you find a way to let me know if this requirement is optional or can I brew with something like a standard aquarium air pump?

Way better results with something like an ecoplus 5 commercial pump. They aren't too pricey. I am currently using one of these with a 6" air disc. It works way better than my superluft 60 I was using before.

My current tea equipment.

1) 5 gallon bucket
2) 6" air disc w/ 3/8" inlet. wrap electrical tape around it so that I can use 1/2" black vinyl tubing I already had.
3) eco plus5 commercial air pump. This pump is very loud if the airstone is not attached, and still loud when running with airstone. My room is built with quietrock and sound deadening vinyl sheeting so I DGAF but you might..

My current recipe:
1) fill bucket to 4 gallon mark
2) throw in a solo cup full of EWC (earth worm castings)
3) add 4 tblspoon each root pack and foliar pack
4) add 100 mL grandmas unsulphured black strap molasses from syrup aisle in grocery store
5) mix it all up with my hand.
6) drop air disc in. It does not stay upright, but faces down at a 45 degree angle because of the tubing. I don't fuck with it I just leave it like that. It blasts sir in to the bottom of the buck which keeps things from settling pretty good.

THE MAGIC BULLET:

My tea is going nuts after 24 hours. At this point I take a cup and I use a cup of tea for each plant right in to the crown. Then I add 1 gallon of tea to 100 gallons of nutrient solution in my MPB (or UC if you are running one). Then I take a another gallon of tea and drop it in to my 100 gal veg res (recirc top feed), and then I take 7 cups for my each of my 2 35 gal. DTW top feed reservoirs.

Then, I strain the rest in to a 1 gallon tank sprayer and fill with dechlorinated tap water. I use this filter with a big blue housing to dechlorinate my tap.

I then add to the sprayer:

1 oz of growmore kelp
1 tsp of Ca25

Shake up the sprayer for a minute to mix it all up.

I use this solution to soak all the plants from cutting to week 3 of bloom. I do not pH it. It is pretty much neutral.

The next day I see VERY happy plants. All reaching for the sky.

EWC is chock full of shit (literally) thats great for plants. It also deters whitefly as far as I know. You can go without it, but you do need a food source (molasses). I have not had a problem yet since like October. You don't want to brew the tea a week, just a day.

In short, IMHO you dont need the EWC or the alfalfa or anything really but the spores and food source. I would not brew a tea without all of it though. That's just me.
