I'm doing 20 second presses on the lowest setting, cutting the power on the 5th second. 1 gram at a time. Getting 20%+ on my returns.

I press whole nugs. Usually about .75 of a gram at a time. No screen. Just parchment paper , hair straightener and a trigger clamp. I do have to pick out a few grains of green that get into the rosin. But it's just for me anyway.

yeah man,shit looks real nice,i thought for sure it was dry sift with a screen in place just from the appearance.

Maybe I just didn't get enough pressure, I stood on it and am not a small fellow, but nothing approaching a decent yeild that made it anything other than kind of a waste of weed; what did come out was freaking great though. I kept my weed patties and tossed them in a qwiso bath so not a total waste. Those clamps look like a pretty good idea.

I'm pressing the nugs between 30-40 seconds now. I turn off the heat at between 5-8 seconds and then just hold it another 30 seconds or so.
I'm using a cheap trigger clamp from Wal mart to do the squeezing. Not all strains yield 20%, that's for sure. Some phenos barely yield anything, and bud moisture has something to do with it.

Bare in mind that I am very new at this. I just learned how to do this from another member here at the farm, and I've only pressed a few grams worth so far. @Timmyahcomeon138 is my rosin mentor. So he gets the credit.

Ive read that there are alot of uses for the leftovers. I'm going to use mine to infuse coconut oil and then make a salve for muscle pain.
