When to water and when to feed in the promix has been an issue for me as well , but I’m so new I do t know any better! Lol. Knowing when it’s dry, is my problem I think I’m letting them dry to much,
However I’m seeing the best growth rate I’ve ever seen. I don’t like feeding so often, or rather I should say I’m not used to feeding that often. In the end I’ll try it again

I think that's what I'm doing too, letting it dry like I let my soil dry

I think that might have something to do with it but I don't like it anyway and I'm going to mix in the worm castings, that should take care of it!

If I had room I'd mix my own Super soil medium but I barely have the room to store everything as it is, so I'm going back to 1/3 ffof, 1/3 promix and 1/3 perlite

Oh I deleted that comment I didn't want to sound anti metal lol I do like like Ozzy, maybe Slayer I guess I don't know some of the old stuff from the seventies I don't really remember them but I used to listen to them back in the day and caught some shows back then too

I'm more into hardcore punk rock and I think all music died on 4/5/94 anyway

Well long term for me I’ll prolly go back to soil as well be it’s so much less work! Lol that’s the worst thing about promix, and holy cow coco would be way worse! Lol
My real motivation for trying it was learning, so many quality growers use it or some form i knew I could get/find help if needed

I dont get your feed, feed , then flush/feed. Should just be feed, feed, water no? And only when pot is light and dry.

And i still think 1000 ppm is to high for every time feed. 1.0-1.6 max ec for me feeding that often.

And no excessive flushing. Pro mix hp flushes out pretty easy.

The retail mix is not supposed to be as good as the professional bales though. Maybe thats the problem.

that's my normal schedule and that's what I started them at but they started showing the spots and looking a little light so for a while they've also been getting a feed on top of the flush

I've had a legitimate heavy feeder or two that Cali Connection La OG comes to mind but these are not that, so I don't know what the hell they're doing with all these but there nutes, sure not giving it back in there flush

Edit: I mentioned it above in passing but the more I think about it I don't think I'm watering them enough, the two feedings between flushes probably aren't wet enough

I'll adjust the water volume immediately and see if it makes a difference?

So I'm watching Mike and co. starting their outdoor vegetable Garden indoors

https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/appeasing-the-children.110961/

and it dawned on me that all those tomato seeds I bought I'm probably not going to be able to start?

Was going to start them the first of the month but I have very little promix and I'm not going to Home Depot to get more and I'm not paying Amazon's price for it

so what I'm going to do is up-pot what I have up next this weekend, and then see if theres enuff left

might just freeze them and try next year, hopefully things will be more normal

i got you covered on the seed soil. i can part with a 5 gal of compost and a 5 gal of ewc, if you have some stuff to mix with it you should be good for a month or so. lemme know, i get the feeling we are from the same neck of the woods. planting veggies is a must, so if you run out dont hesitate to take me up.

Hey thanks for the offer, I'm on the coast but not that coast I'm thinking it's all a little much right now, if I'm honest I'm considering not even putting in a garden this year I probably will but I don't know yet

Turns out I'm going to have plenty, I forgot I had a full unopened 30 lb bag of wiggle worm out there, I'm not going to totally discount starting the seeds this year but I'm not even sure if I'm going to put a garden in, I live in the city and people around here are out and about like it's a regular day :/

I have some pre-existing respiratory issues so I don't know how much time I want to spend outside gardening this year, if any?

Figure I'll give it to the end of May to see what happens, and if things get better I can always buy some tomatoes at Plant World

Thought was a photo turned auto is in full bloom. She's finally growing fast. My silver haze has finally jumped into growth mode. Few more weeks. But I also may let veg stay longer until auto girl scout finishes

@MIMedGrower This is what I was trying to describe, although it's still green not even fading yet and has 2 or 3 weeks the most to go it's started showing this within the last week

The black dog always does this, and is doing it now

But I've never had any issues with this strain in soil or a soil promix combo, it was always bulletproof just a big round Bush and I'd leave it alone

I suspect it's the way I've been watering? I think I've been keeping it too dry for the two waterings in a row and then the third watering I've been flushing it too heavily

... does this sound likely to you?

I'm going to start treating it like soil going forward see if it helps, feed feed water no more flushes & nothing stronger than 875 ppm, which is what masterblend comes to as directed with my 100 PPM tap water, in a week or so I'll be cutting that in half as I start my taper

Yes. Just water only to 10-20% runoff the third time should be plenty. Maybe you are washing too much nutes out?

I have over and underfed every plant so far. When i get dialed in i will share.

LOL I forgot the pic!

I suspect that's what I'm doing, I'm going back to treating it just like soil! I'll post up how it reacts

I never did anything different between pro mix and soil. But it used to have 1.4 ec of fertilizer to get started. Now it has none and it threw me some curve balls. But i am a terrible underfeeder. And those leaves you got sure look like the plant is taking the nutes out.
