Thanks for sharing these ... the memories! I remember running home with the latest issue and drooling over the photos. Now it is everywhere and legal (well, for many now).
Jimi Hendrix didn’t play Stairway to Heaven. And no - there was an incredible light show by Bob Holt and there was no disco ball.Stairway to heaven.... there certainly was!
Led zeppelin lol. I remember it like it was yesterday... my stonerJimi Hendrix didn’t play Stairway to Heaven. And no - there was an incredible light show by Bob Holt and there was no disco ball.

Hey buds , yea I saw plenty of led Zeppelin shows , and after that quite a few jimmy page , he toured quite a bit ...71 is before my time (Did you see Zep live???)
Anyway, 10 bucks was pretty expensive. By the time my generation could find something that exotic, we were paying $75 an 8th in NY. Mainland USA, NY had to be one of the few places you could ever find it. It was rare too. Maui was very nice too
This is the reason life insurance companies no longer pay out if the death is ruled as a suicide. Yeah, ....it's common for people that decide to turn their life around for their daughter to suddenly off themself, especially right after making plans and arrangements to do something in the near future ( in this case, i believe he was making plans to do something with his daughter but i could be wrong). Suicide, yeah, right. There's another reason weed is great, if Courtney would have gotten off the blow and just smoked a couple joints and chilled the fuck out, Curt might still be alive.Did you read the article on who killed Kurt? I didn't see the Firm, although I would have loved to. The Firm was a bit before that. I see him im 88 too (Nassau Collasium). Jayson played dfum, but Jimmy got his chops back for that tour. It was The Outruder Album tour. That was one if my favorite shows. Zep did the right thing not reuniting. Yeah, they missed out in god knows how much $, but without John Bonham, that isn't Zep. He's tbe most influential drummer of all time (not the best technically), but everything he laid down was perfect for the music.Hey buds , yea I saw plenty of led Zeppelin shows , and after that quite a few jimmy page , he toured quite a bit ...
I think it was " the firm " at ritz in New York that was most memorable ......
Yea it was nov 13 th 1988 , check out the setlist
I was smoking weed in 68 - I was 10.When i say product of the 90s I mean I was in teens during the 90s not that I was 10 smoking in 2000 being born in the 90s lol.
Same here except I was 9 in 68 , but my older brother got me started around 11 , yup I remember the black opiated like it was yesterday and the Nepalese temple balls and the honey oil the t stick , come to think of it , we had a lot of good shit back thenI was smoking weed in 68 - I was 10.
Thai Stick best weed ever but opiated black hash had it topped.
Hey buds , yea that's where the road kill lived ! Nassau coliseum ...1972 Rockefeller busted everyone I was 13 , that was an eye openerI didn't see the Firm, although I would have loved to. Since this is a "Best" thread, I'll go a little off tooic, before I get back to the subject ar hand..
Chili Pepperd/Foo Fighters put on the best show I ever seen. Chilin Peppers shocked me.
Anyway, when The Dead would come to town, so would the buffet of exotics only they brought. What they say about Skunk 1, could also be said about The Dead. Shoreline (Shoreline Amphitheater), plesnty of Road kill. In the mid/early 80's, they still had thoes sticks being sold as well as Maui..My 1st grow ever was outdoor Maui on LI. It grows dam well, especially near the coast.
It was the best bud a few select kids got to ever see until that point. I got 1 seed out of her, but didn't know. I tossed it (as tears roll down my face)
$25 a stick in the 80’z in Michigan and yes that filament/ fishing line was much thinner71 is before my time (Did you see Zep live???)

Used to love mixing raw opium with black hash - wish I could find either one now! LolI was smoking weed in 68 - I was 10.

I was wrong. It was 25-35 for an 8th, put for Thia Stick, Maui, or Pepper Heads, double that.. In the late 90's, the "golden years" in Texas, 100-120 a 1/4 oz. It would vary in NY based in quality. The best bet, and prices were at the Bodegas un Brooklyn. Anyone remember "Brooklyn Nics"? $100 would get me 20 at Broadway Video (ROUGH AREA) East NY. I'd drive in with butterflies. It was protected though. Police got a cut, and they'd watch the customers (lines down the street).$25 a stick in the 80’z in Michigan and yes that filament/ fishing line was much thinner
