The thread by humboldocal from 2010 here at the farm is probably the best growlog ever. I still find it inspiring.

Funny. Over the past 2 years I feel like I've figured out a lot of what the nute companies have figured out. A buddy of mine and I were giggling over my $4 bottle of rooting hormone from Home Depot as we took cuts last night for this very reason!

Fuck yeah! That's a great grow. Weird to see all these smart pots out there these days though, does make it easier for people to plant on non level surfaces and be lazy too...lol
And the smartpots only last one true outdoor season, what a waste...

Heirloom seems the way to go from what Ive gathered but outdoor is a way different ball game. I havent even ventured into outdoor and have been full swing for a few years now. Big plants, bigger problems can arrise Im sure.

H and G outside LOLOLOL. Man what a waste. Environment is number one always.

Cant wait to run my dstar outside and see how she compares to the indoor. I think it could translate into some 2 liter colas of hella goodness.

The more I use smart pots the more I dont like them. I feel they have their place but allow bugs to get in and I think personally dry uneven for some reason. FWIW When ever I pick up a plastic pot it feels more even weight distributed between waterings, such as less pockets of moisture.

Outwest-funny shit I made my own em1 and its doing well on a test subject. Will be taking apart and looking at roots in very near future.

Thanks baba for all the outdoor info as well

Wigging me out figuring what cut I have. Either way Im happy bc shit yields and is the frosties shit ive ever seen with every trait of sd down to the pink hairs but honestly Im unfamiliar with sensi star. I know it has unique aroma that it adds which my cutting seems just that. I dont want to add to any of the diluting so to speak is the main concern. Thanks

S9metimes the hype train is so strong I toss out the idea anyone wouod want some skunk buds over og or a chem.

This new year Im working with Cherry Skunk x Lemon Skunk. These beans are from one of the TRUE GREATS on this site and he made them way back. He also made a strawberry cough ibl
He gifted me both and said Im free to work with them...needless to say Im very excited. Once I hopefully create some bomb shit with it or not...why ruin it lol. Either way my point is once I flower it or them and post the pics then Ill give up the breeder. Even tho Im sure you probably know who Im speaking of if not you can PM me...thats fo SMF not the farm lol

If its skunks you want, grow some original diesel....( weasel cut) cant speak for any other.dry and cure it right.....and see whats the first word out of folks mouths when thy smell it!

So,if NOBODY,can honestly say they truly know, then lets start with the list of strains, that Chemdog,is NOT!
And we better have a list of strains that are as desirable,as well!
The "unplayed" list!

Chems aint :
Northy, but it is similar in bud structure and flower times
Haze,but some Chems are 'Hazey'
Skunk #1,but there are similarities between the two
Widow or her relos
Thai,Hawaiian,Columbian or Indian, yet it has some similarities in effects
My conclusion : Chems come from Super Skunk/Silver Pearl parentage, which is Afghani,Skunk #1,NL#5 and Early Pearl(Cali Haze).

Silver Pearl? interesting im very familiar with that strain. Pheno I had for a little bit (there were 2 at the time) was commercialish it finished fast, hard as rocks and nice colas but had a heavy stone. Not a complex taste but alright didnt want to keep her long.

Does anyone here know if Chem '91 likes a special feed schedule. Myself and a friend both grew it the last round, and while it yielded and looked great at the finish, it looked very unhealthly during growth. (ie. burnt and spotted leaves. Not mites.) We tried giving more food and less. More cal and more mag. Less of both. Is there anything that it needs a little extra or less of?

Early Pearl has an extremely sharp taste sometimes, that is carried through to some of the Silver Pearl seeds.
HGF Silver Blue and Blue Haze are prime examples, and can carry a fuelly, dieselly, cheesey yogortty tastes.

I'm running the 91, 4, 3, D right now. The 91 is a month in. I use the same organic/tea regimen I use for all my plant. The opposite of finicky. Literally the healthiest strain in my garden. Throwing the 4 into flower imminently, and the D and 3 will flower in a few weeks. Working on the sis, then I plan on doing a comparative photo essay before the end of 2013.
