End of day 20 for the sour. During one of many trips into the grow room to making sure everyone was still there I noticed a mistake on my part.

Everything is level but some branches are fighting for that top spot. The main top has been held down for 36 hrs when lights come on. I'm expecting good growth in the laterals tonight and I'll readjust pins in the morning so the main top is once again above all.

She looks pretty naked 🥴

The benefits out weigh the little bit of stress. Yes the leaves are "solar panels" for the plant to produce energy that is why I'm selective at this stage.

Keeping the tops down and allowing light in encourages the smaller growth to grow. Basically it gives those sights that wouldn't amount to much a chance to turn into nice buds. I still don't have it dialed in but that's the idea.

Don't you worry my friend. We're growing buds over here not leaves.
Light on the cones? Of course, it makes sense, but usually there are growing leaves in the cones, and they are small, but the small leaves have difficulty providing for their growth, not to mention the inflorescences. Energy is distributed depending on the conditions, but the total area of the leaves is much more important than the direct light on the cones. On the other hand, where there is little light, the composition of the air is important. Thus, it is a controversial question whether something should be trimmed if the space is not occupied.🤷‍♂️

These pics are 9 hrs apart. The first is this morning after adjustments and the second I just took. The older leaves have turned back up and the newer leaves are filling in the space. 🤷‍♂️

Making some improvements to the setup. Getting into the reservoir would've been a pain with the tray sitting on top. Especially with a scrog net in place and weaved in to a plant. It might not be strong enough. I need to get it glued together and see how sturdy it is.

Made some pin adjustments and watered everyone this morning. The main top got pinned down pretty good. I had completely unpinned it yesterday and let her grow overnight without it. I like the idea of not training her anymore and seeing what she does. At the same time it's tough to not try for as many top colas as possible.

No work at the shop today so I'm home early. I decided the sour needed more leaves taken off. This is what I meant earlier about training if I see a chance to improve yields I can't stop myself.

Update on the closet cheesecake. She's starting to show some frost and she's trying to grow some buds. She doesn't care about light too much. I think it was 2 days ago I lifted the lights a few clicks but that has been an ongoing process for the last couple weeks. Everything I've read says this shouldn't be happening. I'm running 18/6 that's 74 DLI.

Excuse the shitty camera work. I was showing the leaf tips throughout the plant. I take this as a good sign.

I top dressed a small dose a couple days ago. That is breaking down in soil and the plant is gaining access to the nutrients. That little bit of burn says I'm in a good spot. Fingers crossed it doesn't get much worse.

The video is the tent cheesecake and the GMO is showing the same.

It's got some wobble to it but I think it will hold up. There are some adapters to go from the 1/2" to 1 1/4". The thicker legs would help.
