Gave this one a pretty heavy defol on the tops. The potential is starting to reveal itself. You can see the foundation of nice colas now. Its been 3 weeks today since pistils I'm hoping for 3-5 more days of stretch. Any opinions on how much more stretch she has? Second pic is more of a close up showing the stacking.

That seems like a long time in transition.....usually once the dime sized buds are visible and stacking is when the stretch is flat lining

Its this method of scrog. From what I understand the timing of the schwazz and super crop extends stretch which allows the plant to use that stretch energy to develop the smallest growth into main top colas. Im still not good at reading the plant and was hoping someone had an idea of how long until those pom poms that indicate the end.

Last seed post for at least a week. Got my order from seedsman today. This was my first experience with them and will be my last. They charged my debit card twice and my credit card once without processing the order. On my end I was getting an internal error msg leading me to keep trying after first attempt but they charged my cards all 3 times. Their customer service can only be contacted through a ticket system but once you create a ticket you can't see it or the status. I was notified by third parties that my cards were being refunded and saw my original order being added onto my seedsman account all without communication from seedsman. Of course my seeds weren't secured and they sold out of what I wanted. My shipment email only included half my order and I didn't know what the status on the rest was until I opened the package today. So all that and they sent me the wrong exodus cheese. The one strain I wanted photos and they sent me autos.

Let's see. The glueberry was flipped on Saturday. She's growing so fast when I open the tent for the first time of the day she looks starving. So much new fast growth that it's still yellow and looks scary.

Sour diesel is chillin like a villain. Finishing up.

Blue cheese is still stretching but getting close to the end. Today is 24 days since pistils and day 45 above ground. I haven't really touched her since Sunday.

Drying is going mostly as planned. Portable AC can only keep it 64f currently but I could insulate the doors better and probably get closer to 60f. I'm also trying a different way of doing it. The idea is to dry the buds in layers and each layer has its own vpd range.

What's the logic of last stage 55% will you not lose the flower smell?

Im not sure why you focus on the extreme end of a given range. The important numbers here are the vpd ranges and that we are drying in layers. Like drying an onion a layer at a time.

55 rh% is borderline. It's the lowest safe rh without locking in the hay smell. That said I don't recommend running 55% the whole drying process. By the time 55% becomes an option 2/3s of the bud should be dry and it's just the center of buds that need dried. But again 55% is the low end of a range not the only choice. It should be a tool in a toolbox full of other tools.

A scenario where someone might choose 55% is finishing a long dry. Maybe day 12+ with some giant buds that just have to be done for whatever reason. Maybe someone has more control over their rh than temp so 55% has to be used to hit the right vpd. The goal here is vpd numbers not the rh%.

Guess I just need to find the right one.

This blue silicon piece keeps the weed in place and makes sure you don't inhale the weed. It's sits right above the metal and heat causing the funky taste.

For portable vape I use this
Oz ohm 510 thread dry herb atomizer 1800x1800

Screws into a battery (40+ watts) and works well. I was given a da Buda tabletop unit a year ago as a tip for plumbing work for a client that is AWESOME.

I too love joints. When home for the day I'll puff 3 or 4 at least😉

Extream? You posted a photo you will do it.and if you post a number don't say extreme you decided to use it.use a different number if you don't like it.and anything under 60% last days will give you hay.yes middle is wet but outside is powder dry
I had 55 last day all smell left next day

I’ve dried at 60 40 even 30 humidity if she’s good smoke she’s good smoke mate back in my outdoor days we dried in an open barn I agree the 60-60 method works well but if ya grow nice smoko shouldn’t matter man back in the day down here the old school legends used to dry in pillow cases on the clothesline in the sun some of the best smoke I’ve had all in the cure I reckon but that’s just me who have had their fair share of fuck ups😂👍

And apparently we just forgot all that.
Back in the day 80's high times harvest Day photos showed a lot of concrete floors in basements with a couple of layers of brown garbage bags and a fan.

i agree with you.i dry as well in what ever the weather gives me

what does .92vpd mean? did i fuck it up little or much? i never explored vpd for drying

No disrespect but sometimes it's hard to follow what you're trying to say. I thought you were arguing that 55% was too low rh%. Then you said you used 55% so I pointed out that it was also .92 vpd.

In simple terms vpd is how thirsty the air is and .92 is a little more "thirsty" than the range for the third stage.

Rh% is how much moisture is in the air and vpd is how much more room for moisture there is. If there is no room for the moisture from the buds they won't dry. This is the basics of targeting vpd instead of rh%.

Never used vdp in my life even chucked out my humidity n temp readers cause they lie but .92vpd is bout good for veg I think but not sure mate👍
Amneziahaze is actually the grower who got me thinking about what PART of vdp was important.
Window growers have the largest lung room in the world as it's literally the world. I was comparing my run to hers and was having a hard time dealing with the fact that setting a pot and a plant on a window sill was presenting and growing as good as my high tech over engineered high cost boondoggle in the basement.

My conclusion, after the following run where I had 2 plants in early flower and 2 plants just out of seedlings, is that the actual VDP number is way less important than how fast that number changes.
Node 3 plants at 1.2 vdp. Ack should have exploded or something.
But I also have an environment that tracks this vdp from 1.18 to 1.22 giving me a very stable environment.
Just like outdoors.
And then I started to see guys who were posting app traces at a vdp of say 1.1 but it was a rolling trace from .9 to 1.3 vdp and that translated into a humidity bounce of 5 % up and down multiple times an hour. It's a vdp that is stable not the actual number. The plant will adapt. It is why pot grows outside everywhere.

non taken i am all over the place and english is not my first language i am happy when people get what i say :D

well yea i told you i used it and that i lost smell the next day day before it was smelling amazing inthere

but you made me google vpd for drying

with their logic i was perfect still... soo maybe the smell comes back after a short cure(too bad i froze them...)

you might be on to something last year i had a 1.2 grow and now a 0.9 or 0.8 feels like same plants if anything this year where bigger but it can all be genetics and what happened in grow....

When talking about growing. Stability is key but having the correct vpd for the stage of growth is also important.
