So a friend of mine has been making his own seeds as a hobby, and gave me a few to try out, so I’ll be documenting it here.
I’m limited to a 2x2x5 tent right now, and I’m always seeing people ask about running multiple plants in a 2x2. Personally I feel a single plant scrog is the only way to go, but I wanna try something different. I’m going to run 4 different plants, all 4 different genetics.
They're looking great. The end of week 4 was yesterday. I’ve been lst‘ing them down pretty aggressively, hopefully I can go one more week at least before flip.
So far Watermelon Gushers is kinda the runt, and the Jungle Breath the biggest. Jungle Breath is an interesting one, the leaves and stems are very fat and beefy, but not very flexible. Almost like celery. I accidentally broke one of the top branches clean off trying to tie it down a little bit. She’s also the thirstiest, drinking 32 oz of water every day. The others every other day. She smells good already tho. That’s all for now. They’re all very happy with the Dr Earth top dressing and not showing any deficiencies or excess. They do droop about an hour before lights out, but that seems pretty standard for indoor. Happy growing....
that kind of praying is good, when they are reaching even more that’s light stress, you’ll also be able to tell if the leaf tips the very end tip will start to lighten in colour, not burnt like nute burn.View attachment 1124791

The end of week 2 of 12/12 is today. Unfortunately the Jungle Breath was a male. Not a herm, just straight up male. What I though were female parts turned out to be balls. No biggie, it’s probably for the best that there’s some room in there, but I was pretty curious to see if I could pull off 4 plants in a 2x2. Pretty sure I could have done it.
Anyway I put in a net last Sunday above the canopy and everyone has grown through 10“-12“ in a week. I have about 14 more inches of height before I run out of room and the plants start getting closer than 18“ to the light, so hopefully the stretch slows down after this next week. Still watering the same and top dressing once a week with Dr Earth, 1 tbsp each of veg and bloom per pot. Everyone seems happy, praying vigorously and no excesses or deficiencies.
I’m gonna go ahead and move the light up to 24“ from canopy tomorrow. What are the signs I should be watching for minor light stress?that kind of praying is good, when they are reaching even more that’s light stress, you’ll also be able to tell if the leaf tips the very end tip will start to lighten in colour, not burnt like nute burn.
a couple very early signs of light stress..
good job! looks good!
that is the minor signs of light stress, next could be a taco effect, bleaching of leaves exposed to light..I’m gonna go ahead and move the light up to 24“ from canopy tomorrow. What are the signs I should be watching for minor light stress?
Ok my bad, I thought you were saying that you were seeing some minor signs in my grow.that is the minor signs of light stress, next could be a taco effect, bleaching of leaves exposed to light..

Still fertilizing with 1 tbsp Dr Earth grow and 1 tbsp Dr Earth bloom per container once a week. Watering 1 liter of water every day. Less than a tbsp of runoff. Soil is bone dry 24 hours after watering. Temps are 82/74 day/night. The humidity is at 50% with lights on, but jumps up to 70% during lights out, even with the fan blowing 24/7 and the 4“ cloudline extractor fan running full speed. Should probably find a way to get it down.
Fungus gnats returned, so I have yellow sticky pads everywhere and am watering with mosquito dunks. Hopefully that will keep them in check. Happy growing!
