The New Project

I've ran a few of Mosca's work. Good stuff. Solid choice I have been eyeing his stuff for years, so it will be nice to finally get to work with some of his gear.

Ok, so I just ordered four HLG 132s in the 4K range to use to build my light. I have yet to use LEDs but I am pretty stoked to get this rig built and put into action.

Ok I figure its time for an update. Of the 3 Jack Mystery #2 is doing the best, far and away. They all kinda stalled for a bit, so I did light waterings with Alg-a-mic and Root Juice separately. Now I want to let the medium dry out a bit. The #2 has picked up since and seems to be going strong. The other two, not so much. It looks like the #1 is starting to bounce back though. But hey, we shall see what happens. The second pic is the #2.

Sorry I have been a bit derelict in keeping up with this log. Not much has been going on with my plants. I had a bit of a stall in thr growth, but after a quick shot of low dose nutes things seem to be moving again. #2 is still growing the best so I am hopong for something good from it. #3 is gone and #1 is just now seeming to kick into gear. I am out of town for the weekend and will post pics when I get home.

Ok, time for some over due pics.

I did have my numbers backwards in my last post, its #2 and #3 that are still around. #1 has kicked the bucket.

#2 is the taller of the two, #3 is the runt that doesn't look like its doing much.

Yeah, the color is a bit light but all other things seem to be moving along now, at least #2 is doing ok and showing growth. I am hoping that now they are getting some nutes they will both snap out of it. Since the first application of nutes they began to look better.

I assure you I am not. I thought I had at first so I let them go without water for several days, to the point where the medium was completely dry and the plants did begin to suffer from being too dry. I was just away for days letting them go without water and again the medium was dry. So over watering I am not. They may in fact need water more often to really get them pumping. As I said in my prior post providing some nutes has absolutely made a difference so hopefully within the next week or so some improvement should be seen.

Again, overwatering was 100% not the issue. It was most likely underwatering. I have begun regular waterings with light nutes and everything is looking much, much better.

I also was able to aquire 6 new clones. They are two different phenos of Gunslinger from Greenpoint seeds. So these will really become the new focus of the project.

I will get new pics up tonight after I get out of work.

Ok so I got a bit impatient. The first shot is the 6 new clones waiting to be potted up. The next is the Jack Mystery#2, which though still light in color, is growing well and darkening up, last is #3. I was never really banking on the Jack to give me anything great, it was a bag seed. But who knows sometimes bag seed is where the really special plants may be found. So I am just simply going to enjoy the ride for this one.

Ok so time for an update. I finally finished building my light so I put up my tent and hung the light. I am pretty stoked about how well the light works in the space. Its a custom unit consisting of 4 HLG132 pannels on a dimmable Meanwell driver. At max output it draws 240 watts.

I potted up the Gunslinger clones into 2 quart pots. I had 6 but lost one while doing the transplanting, it broke away from its roots. I re-cut it and am trying to re-root it. There are two pheotypes I am working with so I have 3 of pheno 1 and 2 of pheno 2, each is labeled A through C. Jack Mystery #2 is still small but trucking along. I am figure I will just keep it going and see what happens with it.

Those pots don’t breathe too good. Easy to transplant from but they never breathe good. I usually drill holes half way up side on hard pots now.

So on Monday everything moved into the tent. Right now the temperature is ideal averaging 77-78 °F but the RH is a bit low hovering about 38%. So I do need to add a humidifier in there. But thus far it does seem like all the girls are happy in their new home.

Looks good bro. I like the lights! I had almost the exact same humidity and temps when I started my current grow. I added a humidifier, and a couple weeks later I said fuck it and took it out. Can't really tell a difference lol
