how much room do you have for legs in one of them?
i c ould do something like that with my bad knees.
river reminds me of the one i grew up on in oregon as a kid.

You could do it as long as you can slide your legs in. Hell lots of river paddlers just hang their legs over the side and lean back like a lounge chair.
But if you can get you feet on the footrests inside you have way better steering and stability.
The river pictured is very twisty and full of obstacles. But there are deeper wider ones to just float down too.
They all eventually go out to Lake Michigan. I haven't paddled the channels with the big boats off the big lake yet.
I have a bad knee. Torn from snowboarding and our furniture business in Colorado. The interior ligament is half gone and now a bit problematic.
But of course nothing like your knee. Whew!
