I will eventually. I have 1 green crack and 1 blueberry 3 weeks old in veg 250w cree 3590. I'm hoping to have my light done before I take my clones. Perpetual grow.Wow that is an impressive amount of applied research!
Hope you post some flowers growing under it.
My current serup 20 or 22(I forget lol)
3500k bridgelux eb2 strips powered by a hlg600 0.7a driver in a 4x4, something like this but foldable would be so convenient to move around it gets bulky in the tent
Much respect but not for me. You guys earn your power savings! Here I just toss a single fixture in a 5x5 and plug in my ballast and I’m looking at 1.5-2 per round. Works for me just sayin, but if I had one of you LED gurus in my neighbourhood Id be game to build something. If I spent any kind of $ on leds I’d want it custom as was mentioned earlier with choices of spectrum and what not. Speaking of.. I’m not convinced the traditional low k for flower is best these days. Id like to veg at 6500k, go through the stretch at 5000k, hit the 2100k for a few weeks, then finish with the 5000/6500k. I try and mess with this now but I’m juggling bulbs.. so as LED lighting further evolves, do count me in.. it’s just also you should open up a shop where you custom make em for me lolNot sure there is a perfect light out there. Going to use the 4-450nm to help with the stretch and last week of flower to increase trich production.Reading through this thread I see many setups I respect. I’ve always liked led technology outside of growing. I remember first seeing that tiny flashlight that made me go blind for a few seconds as a kid.
Thing is most of these cool ass setups that work for you guys would never work for me. Main reason being in getting a headache just from looking at this

aren't LED strips kind-of-expensive -- Know KIND LED makes them; they are hundreds of dollars - can get cheap strips on amazon - have you heard of "under Canpoy" lighting - something new - any6 way then say in increases yields by 16%% - I do know that side lighting increases yields by at least 15 -20% ( use led panels 12by12)How many watts are each strip?
I do like the flexibility of the LED strips, i just wasn't sure how well they performed in real life. I have used burples and COBs and both of those have their advantages and disadvantages. But strips seem like they could be a happy medium.

Anyone happen to have a link to some reliable places to order either QB or cree diy kits? Helping build out a setup for a buddy and thinking of sticking LEDs in rather than traditional hps...and i dont know a whole lot about leds other than they are finally competitive. Just looking to light up a 4x4 or 5x5 so nothing crazy and trying to keep costs down for him.
