I have a Chevy big block on the stand I’ve been working on for a few years. But like I was saying, I’m constrained on putting one in, because I don’t want to cut out any old roll cage my dad put in, but I want to do a large single turbo Chevy BB deal eventually……but, I have an 05 GT I probably going to put that in. The Pontiac is a relic. Love driving it.
Yeah man, if your pops' hands are all over that car then just shine on it and leave her be. It's in great shape, clean in the details...

Bro he does, I have all the pride in the world over it, really besides broken shit the only thing I have ever changed is the stickers. I’ll throw any sponser on that car as long as they are paying you a little to win. 😂

Yeah! Old school ignition even! 😎
Gatdamned right. I juice her at about 70% of what she can do. I run it that way so I don’t have to yank it all the time for refreshes. Rods last forever. I have gone 9.86 at 139mph in her, for a naturally aspirated conventional block, it f’n moves. When the weather is good. 😂

These two need to be inducted to saint hood. Ain’t nothing cheesy about knuckleheads that put it on the line back then. Just like Cheech and Chong, they put themselves in the cross hairs so we could laugh, if they are good enough for mark hammil and George Carlin, they should damn well be good for everyone else
Yeah if that’s cheezy than I guess I’m cheezy. I used watch them all the time. We were also on the jerky boys kick. Had me & my friends doing prank calls all the time. When I was younger if we weren’t out exploring then we’re playing pranks & just doing dumb shit!

I miss my racing and wrench turning days. I don't miss the low pay the automotive repair industry has sunk to, though. Not worth it anymore in my opinion. And I'll never ever buy a newer car than '00 again. Say it with me, kids - All. New. Cars. Are. JUNK.
Most definitely all new cars are junk. Most stuff is junk these days. Back in the day they built stuff to last. Take a walk into any old barn & there’s equipment in there from the damn 40s & 50s that’s still working!

Savage!

I'm assuming you're running a big block... What's going on under that skirt?
I actually get beat by big blocks all the time lol, they suck my doors off, I try to keep it humble. If I was to put one in the car, I would most certainly be a lot faster on the big end, and tech would make me redo some parts of the cage, I’m building one because I aspire to be faster. Just not in the blue car.

Not to get "too political" here but the automotive repair industry has gone to shit and it can almost all boil down to the "Cash for Clunkers" program. It nearly singlehandedly destroyed the industry, taking hundreds of thousands of perfectly good cars off the market forever. Between that and the automotive companies purposefully reverse engineering parts to save money, planned obsolescence, etc. They don't want people to fix their cars anymore. That's the truth of it. They want you to finance a 30,000 dollar pile of crap, drive it for 4 years, then roll your debt over into another 30,000 dollar pile of crap, and making parts and systems that are more expensive to fix than buying a new car, it's all garbage.

Yeah, I could go on and on about this. I went to a top automotive school and paid thousands of dollars for a degree in an industry that collapsed just after I got said degree. I'm just a wee bit salty about it 🤬
Nothing political about it,that’s just straight facts!

He also chased down a 12 year old kid. They relocated it and came back. They ended up killing it. Last meal was a piece of French ass.

This is my brother’s car. I usually attend import events. One common theme this particular evening was red lighting from all the domestic competitors. Fastest pass is currently at 10 something. The goal was to get to 9 second pass that evening. The car was having problems and saw bar pressures impossible for a Honda on the data logging

They are going to destroy it. The natives stole it from owner, then were going to destroy it for additional mall space, now it is being destroyed to make a ramp to a different freeway. Sold to highest bidder. The ramp they plan to attach it to is a two way highway with intersections. If there’s a accident it bottle necks. Adding this ramp, ramps up the clogged roadway.

Yeah, it’s happening everywhere unfortunately, Houston raceway park just shutdown. That strip was legendary. My home track in atco has been on the chopping block for years, to make for a auto auction site, it fell through though. Theres stories all across the country. That’s why you see so many hot rods for sale these days, folks don’t have anywhere to run them without driving absurd distances. But now for me to run the Pontiac, I have to drive 4 hours one way to Dallas Fort Worth basically if I want to run any Nhra events. It sucks, worth it, but sucks.
