It can be but i got the kids to think about....i used 1/4tsp of cayenne pepper for about 4 quarts of gumbo. The sausage has a lil spice to it but def not hotyes thats a date. whats it taste like, spicy?

U never had it? To me ...gumbo is all about texture. ..its the hardest thing to get proper....the roux is cooked for 25 minutes its easy to fuck up......yeah....i guess a stew but like nothin else...so like a gravy stew kind of thing?

i might have a go this weekend. Im just looking it up, can't get that sausage though, could i use chorizo? i fucking love chorizo@Limonene ever heard of emeril Lagasse? His gumbo is similar to mine....theres a cpl things i do different but very similar. U shud give it a go.
I had a buddy who was a chef who used to make jambalaya. ....if i remember correctly the ingredients are similar but the sauce is tomato based.yes I've NEVER seen it in the uk, doubt i ever will. NO u will not get anything remotely resembling gumbo if u use chorizo. ....jjust use a good smoked pork sausage from the local butcheri might have a go this weekend. Im just looking it up, can't get that sausage though, could i use chorizo? i fucking love chorizo

my best advice is careful w the roux its easy to burn....oh yeah its going down. 100%.
I dont use it but by all means try it out....i. an see how it wud be good knowin now that its from the sassafrasi can get it in the uk for £4 plus £4 delivery, shall i bother? u say u don't use it.
