Ive never seen a hood that needs a plug tbh lol .... my 2 cool tubes and my aircooled both have flexes off and dont need to be touched ... just plug em into the ballast end lol

With your luck so far just replace the hood n ballast for another 600 lol gotta be easier to run 2 x 600 than your 1000 at minute lol

So your hood hasn't got a plug? That's weird they all have one all that I've seen anyway have an IEC plug on the end and that's what's melted....I'm taking the ballast back and getting the previous one I had with a 16A fitting on it bollocks to it

Yeh that's about the same as how mine is ....its the other end I'm on about mate...phoned em up anyway and I'm taking it back 2morro if they can't sort it I'm getting the other one I had....I've been checking and near enough all 1000 ballasts have a square 16A IEC plug with em not the shamferd edged 10A which I imagine we all use

The plug I've just bought looks even worse the connections are exactly the same shitty wrap around the screw ones so not even bothered with it it'll only piss me off even more when it melts again lol...this growing lark is starting to piss me off man

Lool cross confusions fun Aint it haha.....Irish has just informed me.in should of used lugs when wiring it up to those shitty screws cuz there's no terminals...so now I'm doubting taking it back lol

You could crimp lugs or you cud dip the end of each core with a blob of solder then trap it under the screw
