I just received my new tent and fan. Not ready to start yet but I’m like a kid on Christmas because I get to grow indoor again. Ventilation is the AC Infinity T4 and light is some amazon basic led that said 1000watts but it’s 150w at the wall.
I’m hoping to get the fan ducted this week and I’m cracking some Platinum GSC as we speak.

My goal is to get one strain really dialled in over the next year to grow for personal meds. I’d love to upgrade the light but I’m worried HPS would be too much heat for my little apartment.
Also, going hand fed coco for now because I ain’t rich enough to try other things lol

I’m sorry this reads like an ADHD kid’s homework but I’m EXCITED!

Gladly taking advice from any of you Farmers!

Don’t mind the sad clones. I accidentally fed them acidic water as I’ve been using Citric acid to remove the chloramine in my tap water and forgot to up ph after.

Welcome! Looks like you're also going to need another fan inside that tent to get some air moving around! Or are you going to leave the AC Infinity unducted like that?

Thank you!
No I’m planning on venting the T4 as soon as I grab some 4” ducting. I plan to get a carbon filter as well.
I can grab a small clip on fan from store when I head out. Should I get an oscillating one?

I think for oscillating they can run a little big and clumsy for a small tent but the tower fans are slim and the higher end models are oscillating and fit nice in corner. I chose to go with two smaller cheaper fans I could hang and adjust more easily.

I got the fan ducted today. I don’t know where exactly is optimal to draw air from. Any thoughts?

I’m going to mount the controller and readout on wall above tent. Wondering if I should switch to black vinyl duct to stop light leaks through the vent. Any one have any ideas there?

If you put the pots on milk crates the plants will be above the vents. The little bit of light coming in won’t be an issue then as light doesn’t turn corners & there shouldn’t be that much light anyway.

Alternatively, you could remove the top flaps & one other side of a box to make a shield so light is blocked but air still free flows to the vent.

IMO, people put too much effort into complete darkness. Plants in nature do not have total darkness at night

Ive been following your mother hunt in coco thread and I’m planning on copying the run off tray you just built. I’m cracking seeds around the same time so I’m stoked to learn from you.

Wetting seeds tomorrow night!

In the meantime just harvested another neglected plant at the family cottage. Going to pull the other one tomorrow but she’s not ready. I’m not smoking these but they make for great edibles. If they grow like this without any love, I’m hoping they’ll be spectacular in my tent.
One of these (local grower told me GSC line but thought Platinum, not sure though) finished 4 weeks ago and it crossed with a male lemon og I hadn’t cut in time. I’m going to try and get some to crack for this tent run.
It might be too soon but I’ve got a handful of seeds.

Boring update:

So 7/8 of the platinum GSC cross cracked successfully and I’m planning on hunting the best pheno there but I’m splitting up the work with my mom (setting up her grow tent this weekend, if you ever told me I’d be growing and smoking with my mother I’d never believe you.)

Also, cracked some seeds on my balcony back in June from a Jamaican grower that had his crop pollinated.
I was about to chuck them out because they didn’t look like they’d finish outside but as I grabbed the one and tossed her in the bag.... the smell of mango was so damn strong I fell in love. I’ve never had a mango strain before and want to see what she can do so I am revegging some clones to rework her into my grow too.

I keep my inline fan outside on the roof of the tent in an attempt to keep any heat it may generate out of the tent
