Oh yeah? What climate is that? Cannabis grows in the tropics all the way up to the tops of mountains. At the equator and in Alaska. In areas with dense clouds and bluebird skies. In Australia where there is a hole in the ozone layer and ... ah never mind.Mystic,
Just saw your note. No. The plants were not dosed like that at all. Bear in mind the dose used in that research is typical of the UV radiation found in its naturel clime. I'll send you the same info I'm sending to 2Bad and Jmike.
Zill.
Ultraviolet A | UV‑A | 315–400 | 3.10–3.94,0.497–0.631 | Long-wave UV, black light, not absorbed by the ozone layer: soft UV. |
Ultraviolet B | UV‑B | 280–315 | 3.94–4.43,0.631–0.710 | Medium-wave UV, mostly absorbed by the ozone layer: intermediate UV; Dorno radiation. |
Ultraviolet C | UV‑C | 100–280 | 4.43–12.4,0.710–1.987 | Short-wave UV, germicidal UV, ionizing radiation at shorter wavelengths, completely absorbed by the ozone layer and atmosphere: hard UV. |
I'm not smart enough to understand Zill's research either.I'll be honest I've been lost since you starting citing your research. I'm not that smart.
No I understood yours hahahaI'm not smart enough to understand Zill's research either.
If you are talking about the stuff I've posted, I can put it in layman's terms with a simple explanation if that helps.
I'll be honest I've been lost since you starting citing your research. I'm not that smart.
You've been praying on his downfall...so mean.
I'm not there yet, but the idea of throwing away buds and smoking UVC irradiated leaves that Zill floated really made my record skip. Just wow.
Yea I'm very lostI'm not there yet, but the idea of throwing away buds and smoking UVC irradiated leaves that Zill floated really made my record skip. Just wow.
Well come on, if an artist decided to get a job at a tattoo shop and starting spewing on this knowledge about tattooing that they read online but has no tattoo’s themselves, it would rub every tattoo artist the wrong wayYou've been praying on his downfall...so mean.
Yo Ganja i'm fucking dead bro...lmao you kill me... If it's a woman so whatWell come on, if an artist decided to get a job at a tattoo shop and starting spewing on this knowledge about tattooing that they read online but has no tattoo’s themselves, it would rub every tattoo artist the wrong way
Edit- and I don’t know why but I think zill is a woman lol
Shit, if I can’t grow decent bud at least I can make a few growmies laughYo Ganja i'm fucking dead bro...lmao you kill me... If it's a woman so what
1000% agree.If it's a woman so what
Yeah, don't rush in to CO2 either. But between UVB and CO2 - UVB is way scarier.I maybe wasting my time with the uvb this grow, co2 still scares me, plus its almost Christmas, Mrs. Claus has her limits!
I'm familiar with the original article. Like many here, it's on my hard drive. It was shown that UVB increased THC in leaves in vegging plants. That is no one's goal today, that was a starting point. The Lydon article isn't a "how-to" for cannabis growers, it's basic research.2bad and JMike,
I think one of you mentioned you are using UV now. If you can send me the bulb rating,

Sativa strains need uvb. Oh excuse me "equatorial varietals"Im still a newbie at growing but doctor Bruce Bugbee says that you only need uva. Here is a link to his YouTube video about it.
How Ultraviolet Radiation Affects Plants with Dr. Bruce Bugbee
The three different types of UV radiation; A, B, and C, each have unique effects on plant morphology and health. In this video, Dr Bruce Bugbee explains the ...youtu.be
