A lot of strains were lost forever in those busts.

Nope, never known anyone to have grown that one. Heard the name before but no experience with it. I've been an indoor grower almost exclusively so I'm not nearly as familiar with a lot of the more outdoor leaning varieties, which I believe mountain bud is.

lol no. There is all sorts of drama from back in the day from them ripping people. Their forums back in the day actually used to be pretty good. Everyone jumped that ship when the drama came out. Now is that to say anything about nowadays? Up to you but why gamble.

Naw my father in law was selling seeds through them at the time. They were ripping off breeders not orders. Who knows what the case is now days. This was a good 10 plus years ago. Just one of those things you don't really come back from in my book.

Well... I'm a smarter grower today than I was yesterday. Sat down for about 3 hours today with my buddy and got a ton of real answers about everything I could think of. Flushing, what actually causes black ash and poor burning, results of defoliation, nutrient requirements throughout all stages of growth, and honestly a lot more. Probably learned more today than I have in the last 10 years.

The shitty part is, I cant really divulge all the answers i got today here, at least not in this post as a tell all exposé... A lot of it is industry secret still and fair enough, these answers cost them a ton of money to reveal. I will say though since it's already pretty obvious in their video defoliation is absolutely necessary to maximizing yield with a flat canopy and their style of growing, which is on tables in buildings with 9' of height or less.

Also, @cemchris, keep doing what you're doing. All of it. I've been following your posts since I joined and I'll just say you're onto a lot of the answers already. The most difficult to dial in and crucial aspect is the feeding.

Amen brother @Dirtbag . Once I started working in the commercial grows it made me do a complete 180 on everything I thought I knew. It wasnt really what I saw all of them doing it was how a lot of the different people did stuff wrong on a big scale. My whole approach was wrong. Treating all of this like a cool weed grow vs glass house big agro no matter what the scale is. After all the trade shows and talking to the big greenhouse people and how they approach everything was quite humbling. I thought I knew shit and had it figured out but I didn't. Not even close. It's frustrating to think back if I had done this from the beginning where you would be vs the 15 years prior of almost wasted grow time. There is soooo much good info out there it's just so hard to find. You have to really dig and make some phone calls and drop some lunches/drinks ect on people in the right situation. As you said companies spend a huge dime of there time and money. I understand why the info isn't out there for everyone to read. Kind of like you see in the extract game. At the same time dealing with trying to help people and getting the arguments from people that are where you were in the first 3 years of this hobby. That's life tho.

Don't discount yourself broski. You are steered in the right direction. Just keep rocking in that direction. I love the feeling of still learning new stuff year after year even when doing it this long.

Yup big agro is a disaster. I've heard the stories lol, its ugly. Greenhouses that are 40 celcius and 95% humidity.. that's just the start.

Bit of a grow update; Vegging seedlings are doing well, couple of the Ethos plants have some of that strange spotting on it. Joti's Jordan's Kush is looking awesome and growing fast, and the dragon cheese looks good too. Very uniform growth.. Keeper moms are doing well in the back, topped and starting to branch out.

Forbidden zkittlez

Jordans Kush

Dragon cheese (Bodhi Blue lotus x Breeders boutique cheese surprise)

The flower room is looking pretty good too.. Farkin stinks in here. In a good way. Violator buds are some of the frostiest I've seen in a while, but smaller and dense. Platinum Cookies is a cookie monster. Massive tops... Just love this strain.

Have to see how it veggies out. It's a cross of California black rozé x (forbidden fruit x mendo royal)
Here's a better pic of it. Only seeing it on 2 out of 4 plants.
