This Violator is a wild plant, very different from everything else in the room, or anything I've grown in a long time. The top buds show almost no size difference compared to the mids down the stalk. Infact on a couple stems the lower buds are even bigger than the top. I think its decieving because the plants are massive with tons of walnut sized buds that are hard as.. well, walnuts. But because the tops are small it looks underdeveloped when you just look at the tops.
If the final yield is heavy and the quality is as good as it smells it could be an excellent strain to keep around, I wont complain about uniform bud size. And the trichome coverage on this thing... its something else. I thought it was mold or something at first glance the other day because it was so completely white and covered in crystal.
My buddy tells me this strain really fattens up in the last couple weeks, here's to hoping.View attachment 900037
when is harvest time? looks good in here
Thanks man, T-minus 13 days and counting. Its gonna be a decent haul I think. Not perfect, it never is, but it looks dank for sure and the room is more full than usual.
Already got lots of ideas on how to run the next one differently. Gonna prune a little harder week 1 of flower and then not touch them after that, and going to cut massive out of the nute mix altogether. Probably also not going to burn sulphur in flower at all. Not because I shouldnt or anything but just dont want to take any chances damaging stigmas again. I think some strains were set back a bit from either the massive or the sulphur during high humidity frying the hairs in week 3. The cookies was unphased and looks like it fully developed. The VK and God had more pronounced stigmas and were a bit more sensitive, and as a result didnt pack on as much size as they could have during the stacking phase. Still looks great, just I think it could be slightly better. Certainly not gonna complain.
Lights on right now. I'll try and get another shot in the dark tomorrow.

rite on...ya I dont prune past week 1... then just let em go...plus I guess with the winter cold temps coming soon should come into play as well, always liked growing indoor in the cold temps outdoor....much easier, here in the south it can get stupid hot outdoor and effects the indoor environment
cool, always liked PBP , used to do same thing , Karma as well, read somewhere that they have changed up the ingredients, but havent used it in some years now...For sure, I love winter here it's usually around 5-10 celcius. Easy to cool the room, and the air doesnt contain much moisture. As for pruning I always try to have the bottoms stripped up by week one, but almost every time I have to go back and take more off around week 3. This time I'm stripping right up to basically a couple leaves and one node per branch in transition. I've always been too nervous to go that extreme, but I'm trying it.
Another thing I'm doing is using Pbp hydro bloom in flower, and pbp grow at half strength for the last week of feeding. The ratios are damn near perfection.
Seedlings are growing again after topping them a few days ago. There is one forbidden zkittles that is the same height as the clones in the back already.. Wild growth for 3.5 weeks from seed. The seeds were taken out of wet towels and planted on the 8th of Sept.
Getting crowded actually. Since these are all being chopped into clones in a couple weeks, I'm going to pull a lot of leaves here soon.View attachment 901064
This is the FZ that's probably male... lol. But you never know, could be just a crazy mutant. Its twice the height of any other seed plant in here.

Well today I made a final decision about something I've been pondering, and I'm committing to it. Next round, I'm growing in 6" rockwool blocks.
I'm committed to dialing in these Kushes next round and they are so damn sensitive to overfeeding, even 1.2-1.3ec on a feed feed water is impacting bud growth in soiless. After a good chat with a buddy today I'm 90% sure that's why my hairs browned off also. Rockwool FTW.
I am real curious for a comparison. I think flavor and maybe even potency will suffer.
Are you going to add any organic inputs?
I'll be sticking with Botanicare pbp hydro and HnG drip clean, and that's about it. Gonna run it sterile.
After talking to my buddy today who has grown every which way imaginable, I'm pretty confident done properly it can be equal. I've smoked his grass quite a bit, and it's amazing. Probably even better than mine, I'm not ashamed to admit.
I'm just sick of guessing what the cec is doing. By the time I even noticed high runoff this round it was too late. The kushes stopped stacking properly. The control freak in me has had enough lol.
