They are Steve's last stash of them so no telling how old they are at this point but have been in a fridge since they left his hands. Time to pop them and find out Srenots. Love going through the old stuff. Funny most of it still holds a flame to the new stuff but a lot of newer people think it's all Gelato and Sherbert everything if you want something good and all this old stuff is 9% ditch weed.

This Violator is a wild plant, very different from everything else in the room, or anything I've grown in a long time. The top buds show almost no size difference compared to the mids down the stalk. Infact on a couple stems the lower buds are even bigger than the top. I think its decieving because the plants are massive with tons of walnut sized buds that are hard as.. well, walnuts. But because the tops are small it looks underdeveloped when you just look at the tops.

If the final yield is heavy and the quality is as good as it smells it could be an excellent strain to keep around, I wont complain about uniform bud size. And the trichome coverage on this thing... its something else. I thought it was mold or something at first glance the other day because it was so completely white and covered in crystal.

My buddy tells me this strain really fattens up in the last couple weeks, here's to hoping.View attachment 900037

Thanks man, T-minus 13 days and counting. Its gonna be a decent haul I think. Not perfect, it never is, but it looks dank for sure and the room is more full than usual.

Already got lots of ideas on how to run the next one differently. Gonna prune a little harder week 1 of flower and then not touch them after that, and going to cut massive out of the nute mix altogether. Probably also not going to burn sulphur in flower at all. Not because I shouldnt or anything but just dont want to take any chances damaging stigmas again. I think some strains were set back a bit from either the massive or the sulphur during high humidity frying the hairs in week 3. The cookies was unphased and looks like it fully developed. The VK and God had more pronounced stigmas and were a bit more sensitive, and as a result didnt pack on as much size as they could have during the stacking phase. Still looks great, just I think it could be slightly better. Certainly not gonna complain. I'm always just thankful to make it to the end without many issues.

Lights on right now, cant seem to make much out in this lighting. I'll try and get another shot in the dark tomorrow.

rite on...ya I dont prune past week 1... then just let em go...plus I guess with the winter cold temps coming soon should come into play as well, always liked growing indoor in the cold temps outdoor....much easier, here in the south it can get stupid hot outdoor and effects the indoor environment

For sure, I love winter here it's usually around 5-10 celcius. Easy to cool the room, and the air doesnt contain much moisture. As for pruning I always try to have the bottoms stripped up by week one, but almost every time I have to go back and take more off around week 3. This time I'm stripping right up to basically a couple leaves and one node per branch in transition. I've always been too nervous to go that extreme, but I'm trying it.

Another thing I'm doing is using Pbp hydro bloom in flower, and pbp grow at half strength for the last week of feeding. The ratios are damn near perfection.

Seedlings are growing again after topping them a few days ago. There is one forbidden zkittles that is the same height as the clones in the back already.. Wild growth for 3.5 weeks from seed. The seeds were taken out of wet towels and planted on the 8th of Sept.

Getting crowded actually. Since these are all being chopped into clones in a couple weeks, I'm going to pull a lot of leaves here soon.

This is the FZ that's probably male... lol. But you never know, could be just a crazy mutant. Its twice the height of any other seed plant in here.

Hydrotek Proterra. It's like promix but better Imho, it drains better and seems like a better grade of peat, and has more large chunky perlite compared to promix.

ProTerra 3.8cu ft 107 L

Developed for serious growers! A very porous growing media created with long-fibered Canadian sphagnum peat moss including large peat chunks and coarse perlite. ProTerra HDM is designed for crops that require higher air capacity and drainage. Fortified with a well balanced charge of macro and...

We have a planned power outage today while BChydro works on the high voltage lines that feed our island. Sooo nice to have a reliable genny that fires up on the first pull after years of dealing with a POS that took ages to get running, and usually in the worst weather lol.

The bubba and God are clearly gonna be the first to the finish line, Violator is starting to show some fade too. Cookies looks like it still wants to pile on more ounces... lol. Damn I'd love to monocrop that strain, if only I didnt love variety so much.
Still feeding around 0.6ec pbp grow, I've been tapering it back for the past 3 feeds and closely watching runoff. Probably going to run the last 3-4 waterings straight h2o from the lake.

Found a few sweet little Easter eggs in my outdoor GOD bud. Looks like my mighty mite male pollinated the preflowers. Since these are both very stable IBL's I'm betting I'll get some excellent hybrid vigor from these seeds. And the God finished end of Sept outdoor here which is pretty good really. Mighty mite finished mid Sept. Hopeful I'll be able to find a nice fast finisher with more of the God flavor and aroma in there to keep as a mom for outdoors. I shall call it Lord all mighty. lol.. (Sorry for all the religious wording here 1diesel1 lol.. I'm not even religious.)

Now I've gotta check the VK and Bubba outdoor...

Come to think of it, what I might actually do since I still have this God bud female as a mom is keep a male from the seeds and back cross it with the God mom again, maybe even do that a few times to try and lock in more of the God traits. I'd love to get it to BX2 or BX3 over the winter. I think I need a seperate small grow tent in a different location soon..

Well today I made a final decision about something I've been pondering, and I'm committing to it. Next round, I'm growing in 6" rockwool blocks.

I'm committed to dialing in these Kushes next round and they are so damn sensitive to overfeeding, even 1.2-1.3ec on a feed feed water is impacting bud growth in soiless. After a good chat with a buddy today I'm 90% sure that's why my hairs browned off also. Rockwool FTW.

I am real curious for a comparison. I think flavor and maybe even potency will suffer.

Are you going to add any organic inputs?

I'll be sticking with Botanicare pbp hydro and HnG drip clean, and that's about it. Gonna run it sterile.

After talking to my buddy today who has grown every which way imaginable, I'm pretty confident done properly it can be equal. I've smoked his grass quite a bit, and it's amazing. Probably even better than mine, I'm not ashamed to admit.

I'm just sick of guessing what the cec is doing. By the time I even noticed high runoff this round it was too late. The kushes stopped stacking properly. The control freak in me has had enough lol.

I feel ya. I had some bad runs lately. Almost went back to pro mix. But i am positive from my own testing that the full micronutrient array in organics adds something.

Can pbp be used sterile? It should add back the organic elements.

In pro mix with kind i got a very clean flavor. With pbp more earthy and full flavored.

My breeder friend at ch9 said even coco will effect negatively and not to mix in more than 30%.

I never tried coco though. But i am inclined to believe pure hydro would miss the “organic” flavor for lack of better word.

Of course this is all very subjective. Hydro has always tested highest for potency if challanged. In the past anyway.
