This Be How Dirbag Do...

This was from about a week ago and you can see the paleness better in these pics. They were still under a 400w mh here getting 1.2ec feed. It was at this point I increased the feed rate and changed the lamp.

Just in case my other post is not seen on the last page I'll copy it here;

I held out for a couple weeks trying to remedy this situation on my own, but ol'dirtbag is in trouble lol. Ive asked my local buddies what might be going on and so far I havent had anyone come up with anything, we are stumped, so I'm turning to you my fellow online growers.

Plants are in pure canna coco, pre charged with 1ec calmag for 4 hrs.
1 gallon pots
watering every other day for the first week and now once per day, with about 15-20% runoff. Runoff ec 1.5, ph 5.8
feeding 1.3-1.4ec ph 5.8-6.0, temp 68f
nutrient is rainwater (0ppm) with .3ec calmag and 1 ec botanicare pbp.
Light is 1000w MH
temp 23-27 celcius, RH 55-65%

The plants are growing but they just arent greening up like they should. They have a pale lime green hue to them. Does anything jump out to anyone here? Am I missing something stupid? I'm just not very experienced with coco and only have one buddy that uses it, and so far hes been stumped too.
Any questions or spitballs are welcome.

1 watering per day? I try for 3+, flushing out the old and in with the new. I've noticed after a week of only 1 or 2 daily waterings (when I've been swamped at work) I'll see a little nute burn but that obviously isn't your issue.

I also soak the coco 24+ hours in a strong cal/mag solution 1000+ ppm's then a good flush.

I'm also using filtered tap water, 7 pH 220 ppm. No pH lowering agent needed, MasterBlend nutes bring it down to 5.8.

Ya got me bro. Hope you figure it out.

I'd go for feed more often, tips have good colour, so your feed rate is high enough, so maybe just not often enough.

I hate to mention other sites but I have used coco for cannabis. Lot of good info that has really helped me.

Well I've made a couple adjustments.. I switched water sources back to the 0.2ec lake water that gave me such good results in fabric pots of promix. And I've dropped Calmag and switched to adding 100ppm of calcium silicate before mixing in the pbp.

I'll give it a couple days, if no improvement I'm pulling the chute. I'll need to salvage some cuttings from these to save the genetics and try again...

Ive never used pure blend but have you tried a higher dose feeding?maybe the lower ec isnt quite enough.they look like theyve grown up ok just a lil hungry.I use canna nutes in coco dtw and never really use cal mag.

They look fine to me from what I can see in the picture. If you feel they are growing slow bump up the temp a few degrees so they dry out quicker and you can feed more often.
I like to do foilar’s like heavy 16 foilar and seagreen during transition.
I think it would be silly to cull these lol

I did, I bumped up to 1.5ec and the next day runoff was 2.1ec, so I backed it off.

Yeah did exactly that a few days ago, it's now running 25-29c with humidity around 50-55%.
And I know it seems silly to cull based on those pics but that's just a snapshot from last week and another from several days ago. It's been a steady decline in overall health and the leaves are lookin sickly. I'm gonna hold out and see how they do, but... ya gotta know when to hold em, and know when to fold em.

Did you try lowering pbp and cal mag ec?

1.2 every day for those teen plants seems high. In peat they would go 5 days on 1.2 in my room.

Lol, that's where I'm at now. But I did start quite low around 0.8-1ec for the first week and that's when they started yellowing, so I've been slowly increasing the feed rate. I've been feeding 1-1.1ec or so for the last couple days, ever since I saw the overnight spike in runoff ec.

I'm not sure what the deal is but I'll keep trying to pull this ship around..

Im having similar problems but i over fed some then starved them after a leaching. Oops.

thing about pbp is the organics continue to break down and become available so if the plant cant take more and then we feed again...

Hard to say but I think I see some slight improvement since yesterday. I'll take daily pics of the same plant to gauge progress and see how she goes, but the young growth looks greener to me today. Im thinking it's a calcium problem.. The calcium silicate I'm using now is supposed to be highly bioavailable despite cec bonds, so fingers crossed.

Wait, never use cal/mag? I tried starting seedlings w/o cal/mag (i did soak coco heavy) and didn't go well. Bubbly leaves. Weird. Since Oct been using recommended percentages and start 1 weekers on half strength for 2 weeks then 67% for 2 then full at 1 month. Working very well but 3+ fertigations a day.

And that's the problem w/ soil. Lots of guess work. I've got 2 GDP's in 1 gal coco fiber pots. He's 5' plus and she's 4' and 5' around. Come on, 1 gal pots and I can't overwater, like EVER! It's just too frickin easy. All I'm doing is mixing nute water and watering and drooling. This is also outside in greenhouses with 30 degree F daily changes. Don't try and reinvent the wheel.

I agree with you on that, don’t want to waste two months of flower.
Are the veins of the leaves turning purple?
When my plants have looked like that in the past it’s usually root problem’s holding them back.

Too much work for me. After a short learning curve i will water about every 3 days at peak flower, like once a week before that and get back to 5 oz + plants in #3 nursery pots just like with ocean forest and perlite. I have grown 1/2 lb plants this way.
