ok so whats the secret to the dark brown sauce?@Kanzeon Pictou county Pizza is a big deal for anyone from, well Pictou County lol... We dont call it PCP for nothin.
Pictou county Pizza is at its heart a chain of pizza restaurants started by a Greek dude named Spiro back in the early 90's. Namely Acropole and Sam's. What makes it unique is the sauce is dark brown and somewhat peppery and very savory, and the pepperoni used is of the highest quality. Also all the toppings on this pizza go UNDER the cheese.
There is nothing that compares for late night messy faced drunken eating. It's often served with a side of donair sauce to dip it into. Spiro sold the recipe for his sauce to franchise restaurants for $30 thou if you wanted to get in.. lol.
