It’s okay it’s just the app being weird without the step it said for you to follow being completed

Well as i said in my post, i took snapshots of each with and without a diffuser. I totally agree i think the app is trippin when it says the ppfd is 2800 lol but i do think around 900 is more accurate. Around 1100 would be enough to sunburn the leaves at this stage, so thatd make sense when i had my light at 100% i was getting around 1100ppfd.

Phone cameras pretty good, but thats why i used 2 apps lol cuz i dont trust a single source. And used a diffuser with both apps as well

If you use the DLI readings from Tent Buddy you can use this chart as a guideline. BTW I use the LED 4000 setting in the Tent Buddy app. Make sure you type in the hours of light your plant is getting per day.

Keep in mind that this is just a jump off point. Your plants may like the DLI level or they may not. These are readings that most cultivars are able to use but it can vary. As @AZreefer said, look to your plant to fine tune what those levels are.

In the 5 x 5 grow I originally set the DLI to the suggested numbers but throughout that first week I would push the DLI slightly higher every few days to see where her limit was. Once I knew how far I could go with light exposure I was able to use that information to stress her at certain stages in the grow to try and promote more trichome formation. I do the same with nutes. I'll push the plant until I start to see leaf tip burn. I can use this info to know how much I need to feed them at certain stages of growth.

I think shes trying to flower without the light switch. What should i do here? Let it ride in veg light cycle and hope it reverts or flip and let her flower?

Keep it in veg light. Since it is bag seed you could have an auto. I grew a seed I found in my trim once from like a year previous harvest. Somehow that seed grew into an auto in my solo cup container. It smelled like blueberry. So weird I never even bought an auto seed until like 5 months ago so there’s no way it could’ve been a seed I misplaced. If you switch to 12/12 and it’s flowering you could lose out on 1/3 of your yield or more

Also use a white piece of paper like they say to use. Otherwise your app will not be as accurate as it should be. Don’t be using 1-ply toilet paper. That is not white piece of printer paper. Not even the same characteristic paper wise. #22 printer paper from the store.

I don't see any buds, I just see female pre-flowers. Are there buds forming that you didn't take pictures of, or is it just the white hairs confusing you? When in veg for long enough, plants will show their sex, and the sex yours is showing is female. White hairs come out of those pre-flowers.

That leaf color may be a nute not a sun burn. I consult @Sunin as her leaf stress ID skills are solid. I think the leaf would be more taco. If we're light stressed

But 70% sounds high. I'm not saying don't turn it down because that's always the side to caution to. Less light till she says more is less damaging.

Sometimes I find it very helpful to also put up a question thread for a specific answer. Seems like tons of people here like to answer questions directly rather than jump in a diary thread.

it's just preflower
hopefully it's photoperiod so. just watch it.

that brown patches look more like PH not light

none of the less light is too strong. I would put down puffididies measurements on the side and just look at the plant
what's your distance now in cm and W?

she ready to flower, add the stretch, might be tight?

I just used a 3 in 1 meter to mesure the ph, also measures light and moisture, but that thing said the ph is somewhere around 7-7.5, so as long as that thing is correct i dont think it should be a ph problem. Those things arent 100% accurate, but its what i have access to for now haha and i water with just distilled water too so ph of the water shouldnt be affecting anything. Il have to get a more accurate device to measure the soils ph though.

As for the distance to the light, im too stupid to remember to measure that every time i check on the plant lol been asked that once or twice. But im guessing i have around 2 feet of grow space left, give or take a couple inches. I have to wait around 2 more weeks to flower so its gonna be reeeaaal tightlike lol

Appreciate all the info @Farmville @AZreefer @BudRanger1919 @Sunin :)

well- when something is for everything it's usually for nothing
I was asking about PH as twisting like this might be also a PH issue. With light stress cannabis ends are tacoing up
on the next job you can also hang it properly and position it as I can see that you have this light on one pulley and crooked
even weight of cables on light affect panel
I would raise it by 5cm and take care of full and even footprint installing it on more pulleys
greets and good luck

This is where having accurate measuring tools comes in handy. The 3 in 1 is junk. I've used them in the past and your soil pH can vary depending on your watering practices along where you inserted the probe tip. It can say bone dry half way into the bag but say wet if you go down a couple more inches.

Honestly I would suggest you use pH strips before I would trust the 3 in 1. I realize money is tight but having a good way to measure pH and PPM/EC will take your grow skills to another level. Having that dataset to refer to will help in making decisions and adjustments to steer your plant to harvest.

My suggestion would be to buy a pen or pens that can measure both. I've used BlueLab pens for decades and they've always been reliable. Apera is another brand that has gotten rave reviews for it's economy and performance. The Apera pen has a replaceable probe tip which is nice along with being able to measure PPM/EC in one package. BlueLab separates its pH and PPM/EC pens and the probe ends aren't replaceable but as long as you maintain the pens they will last you for many years.

Yea i agree i dont think this moisture meter is worth its weight lol il get a new ph meter and post for everyone to see.

The light used to be set up all janky like youre saying but i fixed that, you can see it in the more recent pictures lol however its still just a little tilted, i think that has more to do with the leveling of my house, live in a manufactured home in the mountains lol things never stay still and i also already lifted the light to the top. I posted a ton of pictures of everything so i totally get not going through and looking at every single one haha but il repost it here too so you can see the current setup.

IF light is the cause, i think its only because i lifted the light up which somehow increased light intensity by a good amount, at least according to those 2 apps i used. So i think i might have just shocked the plant with more light, at least in the center where i think the fan in the middle of the light was displacing the spread of light so the middle wasnt getting as much because the light was too close lol could be wrong, definitely not 100% sure

But the stress only showed up on those 3 leaves, and the problem seems to have resolved since i turned down my light intensity. I havent noticed any more leaves with issues yet, so thats good :) il keep you guys updated though

Nice thanks for the suggestions on the ph meter! Il probably buy one of those in the next couple days. That meter im using now was just because i was being impatient and wanted something immediately, and i was putting too much trust in the moisture meter lol doesnt do shit for me so far. Thanks again dude!

Use the tent buddy app and adjust your light accordingly. I prefer lowering the light and adjusting the intensity with your dimmer. Raising it to the top will spread out the light and reduce the intensity. Lower it and use your app to measure it and scale it back to the appropriate PPFD.

Yo, you still setting up a time lapse? I been scouting the Internet for a zoomed in time lapse of bud development. I'll admit I suck at looking for shit when I'm stoned, which is always, but I can't find a time lapse of a bud coming in from preflower to ripe. Plenty of shots of a plant growing through flower but not HD zoomed in on a bud. Think it's do able?
