@Toaster79 I'd love to see a thread. An idiot's guide for me please  I could use a few, similar to what @Tnelz said. I could put 'em between lights and at the ends of the rows. Some of those wide angle ones 130' or w/e they are. I all kinds of ideas in my head actually.
Endless possibilities. I second that thread. I just suck at projects that are mechanical. Lol. I wouldn't say two left hands but dam near.

Ok this is my nemeses . When I popped the barbies I got these going to use as ginny pigs before I use d something the others didn't like . They only got standard soil , as my own soil was at a shortage . I've been using them as a tool to learn deficiencies .

The other. 3 below I've manage to pull back with multiple issues . But the top 2 photos r the same plant and its resisting coming good . Ph is ok and it looks like over feeding , but I've been real skinny on the nutes for this one as it had just about every issue u can think of nute wise . Ideas anyone ?

Last pic looks great. Couple before it look good as well. Either a tad bit to heavy on the nutes or up cal. When Im stingy with nutes and my tips still burn I up calcium and everything works out. From the first pic it looks overwatered. Could just be a finicky girl. One of my fpogs use to curl like that. So I overdosed her with bennies and fed her heavy calcium and silica and bennies. Every third water I gave her light but full feelings and she was back to awesome in no time. Sometimes everything can be right to u but not ur plant. Having no experiment with that strain I can't be much more help. Sorry bro. But I'd really let her dry out and don't feed her much and see what happens. Good luck brother.

Hey fellas. Really thinking about messing with a diy ebb and flow set up. Just for the duck of it. Nothing major maybe a 4 plant system. Curious who has grown this way and how they feel about it. Curious if I treat my res the same way I would running dwc. Let me know ur feelings please and thanks.

I run ebb and flow. I've done dwc, hempy, soil, etc...
I always come back to ebb & flow.

I run a little higher ppm's with flood than I did with dwc. Water temps can be a little higher also, I set chiller at 70'.
Definitely wanna keep rez clean but no need to be as anal as dwc;). Any questions just ask bro, if I can't answer I can feed ya a sweet line of bullshit:cool:

I tell you a easy set up I have done several times is a rez (storage container) on the bottom with a pump on a timer. Pumping pumping nutes into a storage container sitting on top of the rez. Then that container dragging by gravity back into rez. Simple, but perfect for 4 plants.

Lol. I think I'm going to go with a 20 or 30 gallon rez. I've killed it in dwc and believe I can rock ebb and flow. Instead of a bunch of buckets one larger table with like 3 or 4 plants. @DC105 that's kind of what I'm thinking. Anyway I get a little nervous with the recirculation. I'm so a drain to east guy. I realize dwc is also a recirc system but it seems the smaller res and constant immersion is easier to control. In familiar with a ton of nutrient lines and really think I may use Advanced or greenstone. Would probably like to run some Heisenberg through the system 1 x a week. But if I didn't have to be anal as I would be with dwc and i was totally all over those buckets. Adjusting oh every 2 days. Complete change out 1x a week. Can I let the e+f system run more than 2 days without adjusting. I think I'd be safe running advanced Connie. I know in coco before they came out with a coco version my oh was always perfect. Anyway let me know what u think so far. Oh I run an ac in my room. So my high temps in the tent are no more than 78. Would I absolutely need a chiller? For the record even though this may be an experiment I will do it right. So if a chiller is what's needed I will get 1. I was checking on a 1/4 hp last night. Would that be enough for a 20 or 30 gallon res. Ok that's it for now. Thanks guys.

78' seems high imo, you'd probably be right on the borderline. I'd think that size chiller would work. Remember your main pump will only run for about an hour per day, maybe less. Small recirculating pump won't produce much heat if you go that route. They even got ones for aquariums that the motor is outside the tank and just the impeller would be inside. I use air stones in my rez, they provide a lot of 'mixing' action plus aerate the water.
I check daily, but let pH float a little, I probably adjust pH every 2-3 days, rez change can usually go out past a week easy. If you start seeing crazy pH swings or bad water parameters you might have to change more frequently. I run hydroton, key there is to make sure its CLEAN before using it. Gotta wash all that dust off, I also soak mine(h2o pH'd to 5.6-5.8) a couple/few times before using it.
Heisenburg: I've done 'live' rez and dead/sterile rez. I didn't see a huge difference either way.
Nutes: You already know I'm a GH guy, lol. I like the floranova series, I get nice terp profiles, taste, clean burn etc...

You guys are killing it with all the info. I'm getting a headache ( in a good way) reading all that stuff. Nuthing but new projects and ideas turning up in my brains. And @Power OG those Yetis are looking funfuckingtastic :D This thread is really burning with all the fire going around.

So I've been a bit busy myself today and put this together. Its not much since all the DC wiring is still missing and I need to tear apart my existing setup to salvage some parts:

All the tools used for this build are in the picture so guess how are my fingers feeling at the moment ;)

Good vibes and good karma!

I'll chime in when i get more done :D

Keep it green people!!!
