as long as that 4 ft covers likely fire items like ballasts it will make a big difference in a worst case scenario.

Now a community question! Thinking down the road, possibly in the spring, I was thinking of after having this new 4x4 veg tent I'm bout to get, that I would get a 2x4x4 clone/prop tent. Now the secret Jardin one I was looking at had 3 levels in that 4ft high space. 2 part question now, do I need a light on every level? Is that normal? Or will the light I put on the ceiling be strong enough to penetrate down the grates and possible trays holding cuttings... Nevermind seems I just answered my own question... Lol... OK now for one I can't answer... If the tent is 2x4x4 could I fit a 4ft t5 in it? Or do people with 4ft long tents always have to get the 2ft t5s? Just relying to price stuff out and see what options I have....

I think the 4 footers will work. I the the measurement of the 4ft bulbs is actually less than 4ft, like 46". At least these skinny fluros I got are different.

@SeaF0ur

Hey buddy! i hate asking you so many questions buutttttttt im gonna anyway!! ;)

so im going to top dress as you suggested. should I mix everything together in like a bucket first so its all together or should i do layers? Besides the kelp and ewc somehow im gonna find room to do a compost/cacao shell/bokashi layer...ive been told good things about that combo.

Separate note something i have noticed with Gro-Kashi is that when I had the outdoor FG prob i noticed they really loved that gro-kashi!! I think it might have something to do with the sweetness in but i really don't know. It would suck if the day I left some kinda bug decides hey im gonna fuck this guys shit up and fuck and make like a billion babies to help fuck shit up!...lol...i think now im just getting paranoid!

Well in that case plastic would prolly be better right? Just because the other end of the hose will be attached to the bottom of a 3gal bucket to gravity feed water to it...
Do i need a hose with a special end on it or all 1/4in water lines have the same connections?

like would this work?
LDR 509 5175 Pex 25-Foot Ice Maker Connector, 1/4-Inch COMP X 1/4-Inch COMP

or prolly this bc its only 6ft not 25ft
Eastman 48388 Ice Maker Connector, 1/4-Inch Comp X 1/4-Inch Comp

Probably just depends on what you use to tap your bucket and what fitting it has but that line will fit two male 1/4" ends

"Everything looking good and pretty frosty today. Was time for a feed and aside from the 2 part high yield BPN nutes I've been using for the last 3 years I now have cal/mag and OSA/28 in the lineup.Yeah, never used cal/mag before but it'll be in my wheelhouse from now on.Looking forward to see the OSA/28 results but I'll probably really notice a difference on my next run.
Speaking of which,my next run will feature Remo nutrients full line.Excited about that but all my attention is on the health of what I have going at the moment.
Almost forgot.I have been using AN bud candy since the flip.I know there's controversy on that product but I got it for free and decided to use it.Label states to use it through week 6 of flower so I have a bit less than 2 weeks to go.
Which brings to mind a question.I know I don't feed as heavy as a lot of people as I tend to worry about salt build ups in the soil.My regimen is feed, wait till ready, water, wait, water, wait, feed, repeat.Usually about 3-4 days in between watering/feeding.
It seems to work for me but I'm curious about what others running soil do for their feed/water regimen?"

I know this is basic stuff but there is so much information out there I always wonder if I'm doing it right.
Honestly I think I may have been going a bit too dry in between watering.Out of the plethora of information available I came across an article by Kyle Kushman that kind of summed it up for me.I think the only thing I'd change at this point is maybe feed, water, feed.I think it may be dependent on the nutrients as well.So much to learn...
Won't let me link page...
Here is the article by Kushman:

1) Overwatering or Nutrifying:

It’s extremely hard to realize that Mother Nature can’t be rushed. You want to do something for your plants every day, and watering seems like a good idea. So does more food. But in MOST situations, less is more.

Cycling your plants from wet to dry is beneficial in several ways. Specifically during the vegetative stage, when it encourages a prolific root structure. A root zone(rhizosphere) which is constantly wet can stifle root and plant growth, while encouraging molds and pests. Fully saturate the media when you do water, just to the point of runoff. Then wait to water until nearly wilting. Watching a plant wilt just once is important for a reference point.

When using Veganic(plant-based) nutrients you should feed with every watering. Feeding the appropriate level of nutrients is important for optimal health, and is determined by the age of the plant, the growth rate, which is driven by the amount of light and co2. Finally, the strains particular genetics decides how hungry she'll be.

All other types of nutrients will require occasional watering without the addition of any nutrients to keep them healthy. This is referred to as “clean” water. Depending on the strain, the routine usually follows one of two methods.

Feed nutrients (dirty), feed nutrients, plain water (clean.) Or feed, plain water, feed, plain water. Some combination of the two methods may be required. Visual cues from the plants should help you to hybridize your routine to suit your specific garden. Follow the application rates of the nutrient you’ve chosen. Each manufacturer produces a feeding chart, which is always the best place to start.

Your watering strategy must adapt as the plants mature. It will always be important to saturate when watering, except in the case of transplanting into large containers. Then you should water lightly several times before saturating the entire volume of the new container. Allowing time for roots to grow to the furthest parts of the container.

Once you begin flowering, and there are buds on the plant, you don’t want to come close to wilting, EVER! Think 70% dry, 30% moisture. During mid-flowering when buds get large, shoot for around 50% moisture through late flowering. When growth begins to slow, revert to the previous ratio of 70% dry and 30% moisture.

It is for all the reasons stated above, that after 20+ years of growing, I still hand water my plants. I’ve built several different watering systems, and tried countless other out of the box systems. Plants are individuals, and to grow the highest quality takes attention to detail.

Observation skills are the key to learning the “language of the plant.” Once you’ve spent enough time with your plants you’ll begin to easily recognize if they liked what you did to them, or not. Deep green leaves raised high, and fleshy green stalks and stems without striation signifies they’re happy.

The goal is to ultimately become a confident, successful cultivator.

mix it up first, and I'd go easy... just kelp and ewc personally... using unknowns in absence could be asking for the very trouble you're trying to avoid

no. I have a 3 gallon reservoir under each pot. I bottom water everything with capillary action and the tube allows me to bypass the soil. Dumping water can fuck up a delicate patch of young cover crop.... My pots allow me to leave the house for up to 2 weeks without a babysitter. The only time I had something like the pics above was because of an unexpected hospital stay and surgery... my pots couldnt keep up for 3 weeks... anyways, this is what they are and how they work.... should be self explanatory.

And also a lil pic of what im smoking on...Unfortunatly due to the outdated and unjust laws of the U.S.A. I am forced to buy my meds on the black market and my big homey that hooks me up is named "bags" lol...been doing his thing for 20yrs in my area but he doesn't have or give strain names...Always just calling it piff or chron chron...

It looks like most refugees are military aged males trying to establish a caliphate in Europe instead of women and children trying to escape civil war.

Hey so I usually wake up @ 8am to make my tea in the morning and that is when I go say good morning to the plants. Most every morning that is when i prepare the foliar mix for the day, i then leave it by the window which nowadays is usually in the 40's until 950am when i mist them down right before lights off. You think i should wait to mix the foliar till right before i use it or do you think it sitting for almost 2hrs is a bad thing? Like you think it loses any effectiveness?

Thanks man, some days I feel like im killing it, other days i feel i could be doing more but I have to say I think they are looking pretty good so far...When I get back from seeing my brothers in TN in 2weeks they should be just bout ready to flip, and also be showing me which one have nutz! I think I'm already spotting 2 males but I think thats just bc every other plant looks female to me...LOL that would be some shit if 8/10 were female...I kinda planed on 6 for the room I had but I will make it work whatever it is! Thats what we do! Adapt and Correct!
