Thanks for the advice bro! Yes, I am super fortunate to have found this thread and gotten/get daily advice from @Tnelz , @Power OG , @CBDEMON , @FlyinJStable , @sixstring , @Pimp T , @Toaster79 , and anyone else I have left out that has made this, my first indoor grow a real pleasure compared to some of the trainwrecks I have heard other people go thru! My girls are happy and healthy, I am very happy, and I feel really good about using the products I am using because they come from really good companies who care about their customers! This website has truly been a blessing and am so glad I found it when I did...it's funny, I signed up for grasscity, icmag, and rollitup too but never have I gotten as much kindness and good advice/information as I have here on the farm! Thanks fam! You guys are great!

Very nice @Lazerus00 props +++ for the kind words man. I would have to agree that the peeps here are the type of folks if I had to face the end of the world and survive, I would want to hang out with and rebuild mankind. It would be excellent stock to reshape the planet............ Not only that but think of the dank we would have access to. We would overgrow the world!!!! Best organic veggies, best dank, sustainable living. Taking care of Mother Earth...... I better quit now lest I be labeled a utopian......... All BS aside yea this is the best spot I know of and I have seen em all over the years. Peace man

Morning farmers!!!! Gonna be a beautiful day folks. I have been trying something different this time around and went to T-5 for veg on some "Cornbreads"...... Triangle Kush x Original Bubba I have running.I usually use MH and in an effort to keep power bill down went with a 4' Hydro Farm T-5 HO lamps with 6 bulbs. I have been able to keep the lamps just 4" off the canopy and I can say these gals are stacking real tight with the node action. Matter of fact I cant remember being able to get such tight spacing with MH.
Longest distance between nodes in maybe 1". I do have to keep in mind that this is a kush x kush cross so they are a pretty compact plant anyway. But I vegged under MH last run and didn't get anywhere near this type of formation and stacking.

I topped once on 2 and I am letting the 3rd one run main cola dominant.

Of course that due to the relative proximity that I have the T-5's. I do believe this will be my veg routine moving forward. Best of both worlds. Tight spacing and savings on power bill. They are 3 weeks since breaking dirt and will put them in flower room in another week or 3.................. I will veg em till 6 weeks then let em rip in flower....... Heres a few shots.

Im determined to get my hands on this infamous gg4! I know @Tnelz and a cpl other people have offered to help a brotha out with some seeds/cuts when I need them...if they have the to spare of course! Im excited to see your grow thru to the end...she seems like a lanky girl, is that a gg4 trait?

Okay so I have done some major "lst" to the girls this afternoon! I was trying my hand at super cropping last night on the tallest girl "emdog" but I feel like i wanna get some grows under and really learn the plant well before I attempt something like that...lol I have this feeling my girl will be like oh yea? you wanna snap me? I'll show you!!..then keel over and die!...hahahahah..no but really i figure I can exhaust other methods to keep em low. I'll post some pics in a bit, once the turn up toward the light..hopefully!...I used some of that really soft garden wire that is almost like a soft rubber encasing a small wire and made hole along the tops of my smartpots, then I slowly and softly eased all the branches one by one down pretty far and secured them in place with the wire. If it all works out I will be so happy and should have some low mean looking chubby girls! I read as much as I could on all methods of lst here on the farm and else where so I think I did okay...The only thing that made me nervous is on the emdog as I was softly easing one of the bigger branches down I heard a lil snap! It did break off or even separate at all from the main stalk but still I know there was a lil damage caused so I am hoping in a cpl days she will just toughen up in that spot and have it be all good in the hood again!..Pictures of everything will be posted later tonight!...on a separate note with all 4 plants in the 7gallon pots my humidity has jumped up like crazy..like 70ishRH so I put a bid dehumidifier I had laying around in the room with the tent. Seems to be working but the only downside is, is that it puts off a bit of heat which is raising the temps in my tent but I don't think it will be a problem. Also I am having to feed/water my plants basically everyday! Today I am not going to water them till tomorrow even thou I feel it couldn't hurt just to see if she shows signs of water deprivation by tomorrow. Otherwise I feel like they would be fine/happy with like 1.5gallons of water/nutrients each per day and I feel like that's a lot!..sorry for the long rant!:confused::D

So laz the gg #4 isn't lanky by nature. My mom is a crazy Bush I'll get some pics up. But my clone looks exactly like cbdemons. Just needs some time to fill on. @jumpincactus I've been using t5s for a very long time for veg. Used to use mh as well. The cost vs reward just isn't there with me imo. T5s do a great job. I've added my 2 180 Watt leds to my veg and it's just amazing. Grabbed some pure par t5 bulbs and this is a great veg for me. Plants look great brother. Respect and good vibes yall.

so this a a few hours after i tied em down...deff gonna take up a lot more lateral space this way but that's what i wanted! I just pray the emdog will be fine and will knuckle up where it split a lil..i tied a soft wire around her to support it a lil even thou i don't think it needed it but i will keep them in veg a xtra week if needed...and also a few pics of after i cleaned up the bottoms a bit...

When transplanting from cups, should you try to loosen up the root ball or even cut it to stretch the roots out ?

Lately I haven't been messing with loosening the meduim around the root ball. Those hair-like feeder roots that make the roots look "fuzzy" are really fragile so I try to not disrupt the roots as much as possible. They always find their way into the new medium with no issues.

Not necessary but I would definitely sprinkle with some mychorizia and once transplanted leave em dry for few days 4-5 that will send roots searching for water and spread out naturally. No need to trim roots when young.
