Thanks for your insight NT. I will def get on this

Now that I'm a little more knowledgeable i feel like i want to build my room from the ground up again... Ugh what an ordeal lol.
just another step in the right direction. If you're not exploring you're boring. If you're not improving you're dying. Or something like that

Hey guys, so I don't have a picture of it right now but 2 of my seedlings that had popped grew about 2 or 3 inches tall then flopped over. Now I have had it happen plenty of times where the seedlings get a lil stretchy but this is different. On the stem where both of them bent over the stem itself was so much thinner then anywhere else on the whole stem. Its like on both plants right at that spot the life go sucked out and it was over. I of course still tried to prop both up after quickly transferring into some solos but from looking at it its obvious that its not coming back....I am sure some of you have had to see this happen and im am really curious as to what causes it....Again its not just that it got stretch and top heavy and just is leaning over, the stem itself in the one spot just sucked itself dry, got all thin, and then the lil guys fell over.....

okay so i quickly ran and snapped a pic of each....it seems that now its been a few hours that the "thin spot" on the stem has expanded and is dying but im dying to know what i did wrong that these guys committed suicide...its harder to tell with the first pic but on the 2nd pic you can clearly see where the stem just got super thin and started to die i guess

Maybe try my method when popping beans maybe it will work out a little different I never ever stick my beans straight in the pot I soak em 1st then transplant into jiffy bags then when they pop there heads up they can stay until they start to flop then they get buried upto the 1st set of false leaves in 1 ltr air pots us my preference because they are thin and deep gimme 5 I will dig some photos out but please note only buried them deep whilst them false leaves are still green :)

@mancdank

Thanks so much man, that is a GREAT idea but ive seen this happen before where the stem just sucks itself dry oor just starts dying in one place, once it does theres no coming back. It also only happens to them in the first 2-5 days of life, after that the stem is already hard enough that this thing doesn't happen to them,,,,,But next time i need suppot on a lil guy for whatever reason im totally using that straw method

Bro repot it upto the 1st false leaves the little round 1s all that stem will turn into root :)

If u would have seen the snap on that ccs and how small it was in comparison u would see what I mean :)

@gardnguyahoy

I know everybody is telling you "RH"

But really you should be watching VPD for pest problems. That's the real reason VPD was figured out, minimizing fungal infections.

Again though, how do you think you got the PM? Have you taken in any clones recently? Last month, maybe two months? It could take a while from infected clone to infected room, depending on your conditions.

Many believe PM spores are EVERYWHERE. While this is relatively true for outdoors, especially in the PNW, this is not true everywhere especially indoors.

Botrytis can reproduce indoors without plants. You have millions of botrytis spores around your plants in an indoor grow. They are almost unavoidable, you'd need a basically sterile environment to be sure. The only way to not get this bud rot is by making sure your environmental conditions do not favor botrytis.

Powdery mildew on the other hand needs a plant (even two different plants depending) to complete its cycle.

So inherently in your grow room you shouldn't have any PM spores. But there are ways spores can make there way into your room:
1. Introduction of clones, other non cannabis plants, introduction through soil (your buddy gives you a bunch of his old soil or something)
2. Intake. If your intake air comes directly from outside, you may have brought spores inside. You must filter this air.
3. Physical introduction. You walked outside, and then walked into your grow. Spores may have traveled on your shoes or clothes. Or you should keep your dog out of your grow.

You've got to figure out how the PM was introduced!

i know and everything your saying is right and works but this plant iss so small i couldn't snap the stem if i wanted to....its just not rigid enough...the stem when its this young feels the same as spaghetti done al dente...lol....whatever, i covered them up right until the first set of leaves, i i dont think either one will live but we will see.....i got the 4 BEP and 4 Doc Holiday crosses under the new led, the 2 plants that im having issues with is still under the t5 next to my rapid rooter tray/humidity dome, and all Soser's crosses are still in the tray and still only 3 have emerged out of 9...i really hope to get at least 2 more....im gonna hollr at Soser to see if i can get some more since most did not germ...Also got in touch with Sin City and told them about what happened. They wee so cool about the whole situation and are getting me out a new pack plus some asap....Lastly the electrician is stopping by sometime this week to go over my electrical with me and see if i need a sub panel or whatever...

I'm a electrician bro fire away I not got all the answers but I will try :)

I'm so mean to my clones... I got three cuts in 1 cup and each has there tiny baby roots starting. they drank all the water out of the cup and about killed themselves. only one looked a little dry-burnt.. what I have found out on this clone run is that a 45 degree cut is better than a 45 cut and shave. it doesn't matter if you use a root plug, or an aerocloner. different branches root at different speeds. also I've been trying to turn the light off for 5 hours or so a day because roots won't grow well or fast at all if you give them too much light.
