My girl lives in an area known for it's drinking water top 5 in the US. Out of the tap with test strips and digital 6.8-7.1 . She leaves the water in a 5 gallon bucket for 2 -3 day then fills a Brita pitcher. I am wondering if this is good thing or may it be taking some trace elements that are needed out, or is this a good idea ? Oh the water comes from a natural aquifer if that means anything.

Meters are always helpful no matter your medium. A brita is basically just a carbon block filter.
