Ok cb......I'll let you know a dark secret I have.......I lied to everyone about pulling my plants.....because seriously, they are a touch behind yours I'm thinking.....I'm keeping um out.....one of um is just barely starting to change color....like yours, a purple color .....but my pistils are just starting to brown.....

I don’t know enough about growing to think I’m right I’ll give em enough time to let the hairs finish browning, then it should be okay.

It will be good to let them ride out this heat wave, think about what they have done

Bro I fried my leaves mid summer when i
Took all the nitrogen out of there lives when I saw first little hairs they can go with some ugly leaves and get big and plump all that matters now to me is making sure I don’t pull early unless all hell unleashes good luck they look great let them ride imo

I have one. The 60x lens is super small and I was having a hell of a time looking thru it.

I think I see some amber on the purple one but I’m unsure.

I'm in inland Ventura County and the hot spells this summer have been rough, but I managed to keep the girls comfortable under a tree when it hits 95+.

One handy feature on the cheap loupes I bought is a little LED light for each lens. When your face is buried in a cola you're blocking the light you need to see it and that LED helps. The other thing is I have crappy old man eyes and thankfully the way these things work you don't need glasses to see, it comes into focus based on your eye's lens and playing with the distance.

Although you might be seeing amber, remember to check sites throughout the plant and give it an "overall" trichome assessment. Seeing amber is a good sign but if it's still 50% clear throughout the plant, you might want to wait. I'm in this boat right now. I have about 5% amber showing on top colas, but still a lot of clear on the mid branches, so I'll be watching the mid branches closely over the next week and a half and see how Milky I can get them, but if I start seeing too much amber on top I'll call it a day and flush. This is why there's never an exact moment, it's an individual judgment call.

I have never had much real luck with a loop. Any of them. I bought one of those pocket microscopes. Can be tricky to focus, But once you do its very clear

It takes some fandangling to learn how to bring them into focus. I'm not a fan of loupes but they're nice and cheap. A better solution for me would be something like an endoscopic camera with enough zoom, and a nice big LED screen. Partly because it's easier to use and partly because it is less intrusive than burying your face in a cola for a peek.

Ordered one of these today. It’s only 20 bucks so is probably not that good, but it sounds easier than trying to focus a loupe then focusing my camera lenses thru the loupe

okay I see what you mean, but I could still make out trichomes in your vid so seems good to me lol

When in doubt, wait a week! Then check them again! It’s still pretty early! Your nerve could use a little work also! Might as well start right now! And you make the call! You’re the grower! You’ve made the right call almost all the time so far! Don’t start doubting yourself now! But if you suspect mold, get them out of there!
