The 2 new auto’s were a bogo and im 2 for 3 lol… so ill have to sex em in time. some of the leaf edges are curled up so i lowered the light a notch from 50%.

how would i go about training this plant? i tried but the whole plant moves when i try.
what would you use? ive never trained a plant.
cool woke up late this morning good thing i forgot to turn off the light lol... anyway she is basicly under 24hrs of light.
the newest branches each have 7 leaves by the looks of it lol! at least she didnt lose leaf count.

ok so as im reading and doing im learning. i also have an amazon cart ready to order once the 3 i have planted do there thing.... hopefully i can get to curing and screw that up lol just kidding.

I would not train the plant until it matters. I had folks saying the same thing in my auto run.
Your plant is tiny and fragile. You go bending and twisting it and you will wind up very angry at yourself.
There is no light related reason to train the plant. There is no growth that is dominant that you need to train for like the early stretchy stuff.
It sounds like you need some guidance in how to train. I will post some early and later pics and you can see how training gives you extra growth and a more useful canopy.

Here is my first day of training about 4 weeks in. They look bushy and unkempt.
They are 8 inch tall autos in a 3 gallon pot. The light was not an issue and the only think I really needed to take care of is the stretchy plant that the top is pulled down on. A few lower stems have been pulled outwards towards the pot edge. Not much

Week later. This skips several days of training as this is an every day thing during the stretchy parts of the grow.

You can see the pattern that is developing. With the main stem pulled in one direction the stems in the light throw out new stems. The basic pattern is what is called a choir pit. The main stem is the organ pipes and the pulled down growth is the choir and the pulpit.
10 days later.

Overall the canopy is getting very level at this point. If you zoom in you can see the wires still holding the stem runs from the main trunk down and outwards. We are trying to clear the upper growth so the lower bud sites can get light. Like these top down shots.

If you do not train or the plant laggs behind and does not spread you get this.
IMG 20251117 081434701 HDR

Only the top bud gets light. But like magic. We pull them stems down and let the top go and.

1 week later a plant that was almost dead looks to be stacking.

By training out and holding them until the middle of stretch it allows for long bud runs to develop. Once you let the hold downs go the plants respond by running the stems up and up.

because they are tiny plants these bigger runs are only about 10 inches long. When they bulk up they look like this.

This shows a natural untopped plant that was just pulled down at the stems as they grew and 1/2 way through stretch allowed to turn up and climb.

Thank you vary much. Vary helpful. Like i started to try with pipe cleaners but yeah way to fragile.. just basically wait see what she does at this point. Honestly didn’t think id get this far. Id rather get a 8th or something of bud to try and cure over kill the plant

Based on your timeline you may enter flower any time.
If you can just get 2 more nodes it will be worth it. 4 would be better but it's on a schedule that we don't control.

Its why i almost asked that one guy how im behind when she does her own thing…. Ive only been growing for close to 30 days i think lol i lost track

Mine went into flower at day 29. The flower is initiated as soon as the plant reached sexual maturity. A stunted plant that is small can still reach this as stress can be a factor in flowering.
Ya just never know.
.I had 10 plants at flower and 5 of them went and presented lady parts within 40 hours and all by 80 hours. All were same strain.

I think a lot of people think of early training like mainlining. this is done very early but certainly not on an auto.
Screenshot 20251125 205035

very much high stress training.
