i went with a 1200 danner for 5 buckets, works great, but ill be getting the 1800gph next run, more movement = more air= mo nugs

Ok, im back up to 500 gph with 4 tubs and only the 2 plants running.. That will have to work untill I figure out how im going to increase the flow rate enough without overtopping the tubs. My systems height is regulated by the amount of water in the tubs but if my pump is dumping 500 gph into the first tub, i can over top it because the passive flow to the next tub cannot keep up.

I think i can get the 4 tub system up to 800 gph or more in the next system. I need to do some research on Doubled's setup and see how he handles moving that much water.

Is the inlet from the 1200 gph pump divided between all of the tubs? If so then I will need to do some math to make it work for my inline setup, or decide wether to completely change to Doubled's system completely. Either way Im going to do a 4 tub 5 (2 1000 's and 3 600's) verticle light grow next...

If anyone has a layout suggestion for that setup in about a 10 x 7 room, i'm all ears! I have been jotting down different layout ideas, but im no pro. :)

Oh just a note about the res change.. I did the H&G line and this is the first week of shooting powder. Does it have to sizzle and bubble in the res when I add it? I felt like a mad scientist.. I also added a heavy dose of hormex to help the roots out a bit. I hope it works because I could not get ahold of the h&g roots excelerator :(

Ok, i just took a look at DoubleD's system again and he is running 1800 gph and its tee'd off to each bucket. Basically he runs about 125gph thru each bucket, from what I can figure. With my 500 gph pump running thru 4 tubs I think im am accomplishing about the same flow, yes or no?

shooting powder sizzzles big time,

tech he is using a 1800gph pump thru 5 buckets, which is 360gph. its probably more like 250gph due to lost from pressure of the water in the buckets. a 500gph pump would struggle to bottom feed a large amount of water, so you figure a 500gph strugglin probably pushs out like 250gph

Here are some pics.. I cannot get the 98 to get into one shot, she is not uniform, lol.

Anyway the rusting and yelling is from the root issue I talked about earlier. It seems to be doing great now, but the damaged leaves remain. The other leaves look good.

The Erkle looks really good. I did not run into the root issue with her, and I know what caused the root problems to start with the bubba, then had a lack of o2. And the Erkle that is in the same tubs recirc system is just fine, so I think I figured it out.

While I think I finally figured this system out, i am going to change it over to MPD's style after this run, with a few mods because I will use existing fittings. Lighting will also go totally vertical..

How many light's are you planning to run.
I have decided once he $$ allow I will be building a 5 light 4 plant DD system.
I will run it opposite my current flower room's 12\12.
So I can use the same ballast's.
Gunna stat buying tub's and pump's and such after the holiday's.

The extra 600 is in one of the corners with more plants. It's only suppose to have 5 in there but I needed to flower everything out to make room for my test grow. I'd stick 3 more 600's in the other corners if I could :)

I got the same issue, thats why there all those coco pots in there, lol!

Its really insane what the 600's do vertically, the buds get so fat, lol. I cant wait to see what the plant with the 2 1000's and a 600 on it will do!

Yup, lots of work to do. Gunna rip everything out. IM gunna run an overflow and a service drain from my res to the sewer.. Still working on the floorplan and everything that I need to do in the mean time...

I like my vert 600's a lot :) But I really love my 1ks! Just don't care for the additional heat. I'm switching out my two 600s for 1ks this next run.

I'm hoping to pull 1.5 lbs from my center plant :) Maybe more! lol

I'd love to have a direct drain in my main res. I'll definitely consider all these things when I get a new place :)

The following are some pics of the pre-98 just before harvest. I experimented with trimming the plant while in place, simply because it seemed easier to handle the long branches and get them trimmed, without actually being held in a hand.

In some of the pics I tried to use a cola can to guage actual size, but they are fucked up and actually are a little larger than they look here.

Congrats on the successful harvest Lost!!! Maybe some bud porn w/o the HPS for us picture whores? If your camera has a white meter you can use a piece of white paper under the HPS to eliminate the yellow cast... ;)

Pic 1 is a pick of the tub. 27 gallon and modular. I can have up to 6 hooked up at a time. Right now I have 4 hooked up, just using 2 tubs at the moment..

Pic 2 is my 1/3 hp chiller I can use up to a 500 gph pump to circulate. I am using a 185 gph pump ATM. The tubs are 27 gallon I use about 20 -22 of it. The box on top is the ballast for the UV sterilizer you can see in the used port. The other port is for a heater I will never need, lol.

Pic 3 The chiller is located in the room nex to this one, so the lines go thru the wall.
