Hello I'm starting up a 2 car garage build 15ftW-18ftL-9ftH a friend gave me a bunch of equipment 10 lights hoods ballasts extar bulbs and 4x8 grow tent AC unit and a very large carbon filter about 50 5 gallon smart pots I was thinking vegging in a 4x8 and blooming in a larger tent such as a 10x10.

I'm finishing up some outdoor about 20 OGkush plants in fox farm with fox farm chems i have 4 mothers in a closet and tons of clones but cutting off every day they healthy had no problems,i have subcools super soil outside cooking mixed yesturday, so prepping to move indoors for the winter

My question is how many lights should I put in veg to bloom room also how many plants in 5 gallon smart pots with subcools super soil would you do in veg room 4x8 to bloom room 10x10, going to do various strains from clones that are available near me.

GDP OG Blue Dream Blueberry blackberry kush Skywalker Tahoe Head band gorilla blue, any of these strains should i avoid?

I would use 2x1ks for veg and 8 for flower. You can put 32 5 gallon buckets in that 4x8 tent to veg then move them over to the flower space.

Hope you have a HUGE ac unit(s), your gonna need it. Then heater for winter, if you grow where it gets cold.

Don't go over 80% amps per breaker

Well heres a update first tent build, some trial and error, budget is low making use of what i have available with limited time.

so veg tent up in the garage, made some support.

Mcgruber 800 CFM to Light

Lights up 2x1000

1000 btu AC wasnt working so well ran intake to the other end into the top of the tent and insulated it

The two 6 inch light and AC exhaust ducts are meeting at a Y fitting , unfortunately if found out insulated ducting wasnt much more then regular.

Still brainstorming how to exhaust the heat, dont mind the pretzel.

First time building a tent non insulated garage no windows no vents, dont outdoor and bedrooms with central AC, Garage is always locked no traffic.
so 2x 1000 watt air cooled hoods sealed glass hoods cooled by jimmy rigged air mover 800 cfm
10000 btu AC Recirculating.
1 rotating fan
Small C02 bottle for shits and gigs
Weather report on my phone says its 86 degrees out.

Well any input for improvements would be much appreciated this will be a veg room in smart pots subcools super soil.

Its too complicated thats why its not working effectively.. You need to get those aircos inside the tent and attach the filter on the other side. Like that

Minimum wattage per sq ft.: 30w
Mid Range wattage per sq ft.: 50w
Optimal Range wattage per sq ft.: 50-100
your space has 270 ft2
that means for optimal growth you should be using 2500 to 3000 watts of light power I would put a 1000 in each quadrant and go from there.
one indoor trick is during flower suspend lights down in the plants to provide more light to the lower parts of the plants. I used 400 watt hps for this and as long as you keep the bulbs at least 18 inches from the plants it works great
