Ucexl13 9k sealed

Ok everybody this is my first journal I hope a lot of you will subscribe to...
I am running the under current 12 site 13 gallon buckets.
My room is 12 by 13 by 8
I'm running 9k hortilux super blues
Sealed room 2 18000 btu mini splits
Co2 and I'm running the H&g line and great white

Im hoping for a good run with dr. Greenthumbs "Oh Zone
Any tips, tricks, or if you see anything in the pics I post that I did wrong or could do differently please let me know it would be greatly appreciated

Until last round I have had seemless transition into the UC. If you plan on vegging larger than just a small plant I would do it in DWC. I went from ebb and flow to the system and my plants are still recovering.

What position are you going to be running the lights?
If you feel a little innovative you should redo your manifolds and make them 50 inch centers while leaving the joints the same length. Put on light per two plants and then drop three vertcal bulbs in the middle.

Keep your r/h65-70 raise your lights till you see them start taking off! plants dont need much light in veg less works better kinda like nutes in the uc

Nice setup jdubz, looks clean and proper! I like your setup style.

+1 hollywood7 on the r.h.

If you start to notice limp deficient plants this week, and all your parameters are spot on except r.h, its the shock ladies go thru in the first week or two. Raise lights if you see the shock, KEEP YOUR R.H 55+ (get out your sprayer, spray the floors and containers 3-5 times a day to get some moisture into the room if you need?)

crossttii is on point with spacing imo also. Atleast next time maybe..

Wheres your ec/ppms? what were your cuts vegged in?

Thanks hogan, they were vegged just in a ez cloner lol until the roots were about 11 inches. My ppm is at 330. Crossttii - I was thinking about spreading them out this run but never did I'm def gonna put some space next run no doubt about it. Hollywood - I have humidifiers in there all day 3 of them small one but they do the job lol

Nice. Ez cloner was my choice this next rd too. Last ones I used rooter plugs and they trapped moisture against the stem causing me issues. Looks like you have a really solid start and in the right place for help. The Farm has guided me in my uc adventure well.

Last night around 2am when the lights were off I realized I had another leak in the back row. So tired of leaks this is my 4th one since I started its like there cracking after being used for awhile. Has anybody else had this problem so many times in one grow???

quick Question everybody, its been 5 days today and my plants still are not doing anything. They still havent grew, purple stems drooping leaves, evening curling down at the tips of the drooping leaves.
room is... 77 temp , 65 humidity, water temp is 66, ppm 330
i dont know what the problem is at this point i have put the ppms at 250 i have put them at 400 and now at 330 i dont get it at this point i really dont any help would be appreciated thanks

Top feed with a drip system. This seems to be a common thing around here and the answer that I came up with is top feed.

take a look at my thread... I have around 2-3 inches of new growth and it took about two and a half weeks. What got them going for me was putting in a top feed. The other thing is that whatever system your clones were at previously ec/ ppm wise I would cut that in half until they get acclimated to the system

I started my thread with such large plants to show a transfer with no shock and continues growing. Top feeding is PART of the trick and hand feeding them a few times a day is fine. I pour a good two cups of water, one at a time, of the same ppm strength water that you did before dropping your girls in. I have top fed with the same water in my UC but the results were not as good. Also keep the water at the bottom of the net pot and let the roots take to the water (about 3-4 days) some before raising the water level. I would make up a five gallon of RO and hit it with UC Roots at 2ml a gal. Or another rooting agent and dunk those pots in that 5. After my first 3 runs of doing it this way I was going to add a drip line until I noticed another farmer doing things the same way and then they added a drip line, his plants did better with an occasional water feed and the higher ppms help a lot those first days. I think not having water dropping down those pots all the time encourages the roots to drop and let's then adapt to their new way of life. Just my 2 cents but hey it works. Check out my UC dream thread, I have done it this way for every grow so far with NO problems. I wish you the best...

I was doing the same thing, but I don't run my drip 24/7 I run it every two hours. It did more than top drenching with a couple cups of water. I will try that next time with higher strength nutes mixed on the side and top fed. I had a really long set back this round, but have recovered. Thanks for the tip, I will try it next round.

I like the every 2 hrs, I was thinking of doing that with a side res of the ppms wanted. Saves work and keeps a good timing going on. I like that. :)

The timer is set to run for 15 minutes and the manifold has a regulates the stakes to 1gph so every two hours they get a quart of water. what do you do if you are running rockwool like you do though? Doesnt that stay extremely saturated throughout the day with multiple top feeds?

Looks like ligtht shock if I ever seen it. Cut your feeding by 25% and reduce some of your lighting. Maybe stagger lights, but raise em up as high as possible. If your roots look good then and all other parameters are fine like they look to me then its your lights IMO.

If you vegged under T-5 shock will be terrible, if under a single 1k then going to 9 lights is gonna shock em some.

Good eye.. I hit cubes only the first watering, after that I water around the cubes just getting hydroton, every day they are dry to the bone.. This was the pain I ran into using the big cubes, it made hand watering in the pots a tougher process, which I won't use again. I have better results with my ez clone or rapid rooters, then I can just freely water..

Very good point, I keep my lights up all the way until the girls are settled in and I end my veg in my tables with 2 ~1,000k. 1up
