Him. LoL I will agree to disagree with your statements of wanting to hurt someone after watching mma:) I think you may have an anger issue, I too had an anger issue when I was younger and I believe people can change once they learn how to control these feelings of rage!
Oct 1st will be 1 year without cable for me and the wife! Still have withdraws lmao! Ecspecially with all the free ufc' son cableo_O
Lol, I'm as far from an anger issue as you can get. I'm positive of that, even my therapist says so (not kidding).
I don't want to look back now, but aren't you the one who used to wrestle?
It's the competition, the adrenaline, the struggle. I think the lack of anger was to my advantage most of the time. I boxed mostly with my grandfather and uncle, so from the beginning it was always a sense of competition. And even in the street, I really didn't hate the other guy. If we are fighting, it's because you are being a dick at level at which cannot be allowed to continue, whether it's short term (e.g. At a bar), or long term (e.g. You think I'm the guy to steal on).
But I see it with people who have never fought before, they watch a fight and start to get into it, motioning with their body as if they were in the match. Imagine what that does to someone who has a lot more experience than the average person. I think we are understanding the line "just reason to fight" differently. What I mean is I'm almost hoping that I show up at 7-11 when a guy is roughing up some girl. Which tends to be the reason I end up doing anything in the last 10 years.
To show my lack of desire for violence I'll tell one of my favorite stories, yes, that's my reason for telling one of my favorite stories (extremely short version). You have your friends that you know are down to get rowdy, and you have the friends that you know, aren't. Nothing wrong with that, I loved them just as much, they had just never gotten over that fear. I have fears I hadn't/haven't gotten over. One night I happened to be with 3 friends that weren't. We were going by a bar in Lowell (the one shown in The Fighter actually). A guy was beating up, I assume, his girl. I rolled down my window, stuck my head out as we drove by and checked out the scene. I told the kid to stop the car, he said "Junk, don't." I told him to stop. I got out and taunted the guy until he dropped the girl. She immediately ran away and he starts walking, angrily at me. Now by the time I got the kid to stop the car, we were significantly further up the road, so he has to come up about 25 ft. Now I knew this guy was big before I got out of the car. Really big, like 6'3", 230 lbs. all muscle. Just a huge frame on the guy, he is gonna have a massive reach advantage on me. So I continue to taunt him, I pull my shirt off and tuck it into the back of my waste band and assume the bouncing position.
The guy gets about 15 ft away and I take off and dive into the window of the car and tell my friend "GO,GO, GO!!!!!" HA!
I was getting myself back in the car, it's not as easy as you think when you are speeding away. So if you are ever a noob in this situation, factor that in. So I couldn't see him, but my friends said he was super pissed and that he chased us like 30' and then ran back towards the bar. They were so scared he was going to chase us, the kid driving (who was freaked by this point, hands shaking) asked if I should drive lol. (Because I was a better driver)
I said "Just turn down these streets [his name] and lose him. Can you believe it? You are in a real live chase, you're gonna tell your kids about this someday."
He said, "Yeah, that's if I live to have kids." Still freaked out Lol.
He did have kids. and we never saw that guy again. They were nervous they were going to be hunted down lol. I don't think the guy would have even recognized me if I ran into him again, never mind them.
So then they start teasing me, calling me a p**** for backing down, to lighten the mood. And I told them that was my plan from the beginning. "Why do you think I rolled the window down, I wasn't gonna fight that guy, did you see him? He's a * MONSTER!!!!!"
The kid in the back, who was my roommate at the time shakes his head and says, "You are crazy."
I thought I was pretty clever.
