;)

p.s. if you dont plan on nuting your standby reservoir for top off.... then you can ditch that reservior too... and just put a distribution from your RO filter to your epicenter... as the merlin is 30 gallons per hour and 750 gallons per day...

wont need it unless you plan to nute your top off standby reservior water

hope that helps :D

Don't bother trying to power the HydroGEN with waste RO water. A couple of things:

1) you'll probably have more waste water than what's needed for the HydroGEN. You'll have to setup an overflow in your waste reservoir which will go down the drain.

2) Gravity pressure wont be enough to power the Hydrogen. It needs to be pressurized water, either from a pump or from a water source (tap water).

Keep the HydroGEN separate from everything else and use the drain-to-waste valve (I have 2!).

Thanks again LB! Yeah, I knew about the return lines, etc., just didn't want to "draw" it :D And I'm planning on emulating JACKMAYOFFER so the top off res will be nuted.

RMCG: Thanks a lot! Wow, that looks like the real thing there. Very solid, makes the HI manifold look like a toy...wonder what the price difference is.

Thanks again noone! Will keep it separate like you recommended. Easier to set up anyway...

Trying to cut down on A/C power, 4K BTU per bare bulb is a lot, anyone know how many BTU a light puts out in a well air-cooled "Cool Tube"?

Thanks again everyone...and noone :D

You should really consider flipflopping the rooms (12k x 2). You haven't purchased anything yet, I hope. Go back to the drawing board and redesign everything. Start with 12k, see how it goes, and then the other 12k will go a lot smoother. I can't imagine trying to tackle a 24k watt grow if I haven't done it at least a few times. With the amount of plumbing that you're trying to do, there are too many unpredictable problems that will occur.

I personally would split the rooms, ditch the cooling coils, do some pvc work and plumb 2 of the controllers tubs together. 1 HP chiller may be enough for 12k watts. I know cch2o is coming out with one main controller bucket; you can ask them for an ETA. But most experienced grow room designer can build something similar.

You can install 2 3-ton minisplits, one for each room, or try the Excelair 5 ton with the manifold to cool 2 rooms. That will give you room to expand to 15kx2

Ditch the water-cooled dehumidifier; probably not worth the hassle of another pump and more flowing water. Heat from a dehumidifier (70 pint LG model pulls 900 watts) is pretty inconsequential in your room design.

Lastly, save the planet and don't use RO water. Sediment/carbon filter combo is all you need.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to noone88 again.

CC's already got the "Double Barrel" available, so that means 2 x EPICENTER, 4 x 8XXL13's, but chilling coils sure are ultra convenient...especially if you've already got a remote chiller hooked up to a mani, it's almost too easy.

I'd have to agree on the light flipper, only way to go IMO.

Let me quote myself:

Most likely will be flip flop, just didn't want to "draw" it...

Yeah, will be split and we have enough A/C, just would like to keep the ebill down a little, hence the question for Cool-Tubes.

Will get in contact with UC this week and check on custom centers with the "double barrel".

Thanks a lot, guys!

Room Layout Suggestions

You may want to run 2 x UC16XXL13 long ways, you will save some dough on the systems and cut down to two Epicenters (control modules) and two cool coils. You may also like the UCE24XXL13, they recommend 32 x 1000w and you would only have one Epicenter.

404...you out there bro?

Those layouts are legit.....I like the idea of the (2) 16's, makes sense given your rooms dimensional constraints.

UCMENOW,
Any insight on the 'double barrel' UC?

Double runs back to one epicenter.

Looked tight.

Hit em up...I heard they'll build it, buts it's only with the 13 gallons.

I have a similar set up with 8 gallons for my veg set up 32 buckets, And my flat garden 60 x 8 gallon buckets...JACK

Super Grower turns Super Mod.....story at 11

No doubt Jack gets all the special build exceptions.....being a web celeb and all.

Any issues with it Jack? Levels equal and all that? Any mods you can think of?
