Upgraded Spider Farmer SE-5000 grow

This will be a grow journal specifically dedicated to the upgraded spider farmer SE-5000. I have 6 wedding cake regular seeds started and I’ll update as they progress. Planning on doing a scrog this go around with the new light over 3 or 4 plants depending on how the plants come out. I’ll be growing in coco using mega crop for nutrients. Right now 4 weeks in I’ve been rocking the SE3000 and have a journal going. Having a dimmer is f#kng life changing...and it’s my first grow lol. I plan on swapping it out for the SE5000 tomorrow but need to change my thread title of the grow to add the light. Where’s the “contact moderator“ or admin? I can’t figure it out

Quick update on the wedding cake plants and upgraded spiderfarmer SE-5000. I started to feed them at .3 ec of mega crop. I also added 3ml of cal mag as it looks like a few were struggling with brown spots on the leaves. I’ll be bumping the mega crop up some for the next gallon I mix up, first time using it so I’ll take it slow. I used a gram of the mega crop to get .3 ec for the first gallon.

This is the upgraded version spiderfarmer SE-5000, it dose not use the plug and socket style now. Each light bar plugs into the end rail that goes to the driver. The driver also has a 8 foot cord for remote mounting. This all makes the upgraded version lighter than the original. Also each of the plugs that go from bar to rail have a gasket and turn and lock style plug, super nice quality and the light is water resistant all the way from the glue on leds to the gaskets on the plugs.

Yeah I looked around today and Im gonna use 4 3 gallon nursery pots and 2 5 gallon nursery pots see which works better with scroging for me. Im not sure what my veg time will be, most likely once the plants hit about 15 inches. Depends how high my scrog is gonna be. I’ll need enough room to water.

shit, spread the lights out more maybe, fill that floor up with 1-3gallon pots side by and do a sog

now thats what id personally do with all that space with sufficient lighting

Ive really only worked with T5s cheap LEDS, T8s and some cmh/hps those are ancient techs now tho lol led will surpass even more as tech get better

Well I’m growing from seeds not clones so I would rather do less plants with a little more veg time. Once I start cloning I’ll probably try a sog. For now I’ll be hand watering but I was given a ton of hydro stuff including submersible pumps about 6 or 7 of them so I plan to get a reservoir and put together and automatic watering system. Probably not this grow but possibly.

i just love growing, slowly getting stuff together to set something up properly, my endgame would be trying aeroponics, for now i wanna get a decent coco space going.
